"It's simple -- Mel wants baby Lucia to pay rent," a Team Oksana insider told RadarOnline.com.

"Mel is holding out on the child support that has been ordered by a judge because he wants to charge Lucia $6,000 each month for rent, even though she is not yet 12 months-old, to live in the home where she and her mother reside.

"What kind of a father would do that to his daughter?"

Even though a Los Angeles judge had ordered the Oscar winner to increase his monthly child support payment to Oksana from $5,000 to $20,000, lawyers for Mel are so far refusing to hand over his hard-earned cash, until a dispute over the rent payment is settled in court.

In an exclusive video interview on Monday, Oksana's new attorney, Lisa Bloom, said: “He has a lot of excuses as to why he is not paying, but the bottom line is that, just like any ordinary person, who has to pay their court ordered child support, wealthy celebrities also have to pay it too. We are going to fight until Mel Gibson pays every penny of the court ordered child support."

Oksana Grigorieva has hired yet another new attorney who is investigating whether her aborted $15 million mediation settlement with Mel Gibson was unlawful, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

“We have hired Jonathan Arons, an attorney who specializes in legal ethics,” Oksana’s lawyer, Daniel Horowitz, told RadarOnline.com.

“He is going to analyze the mediation process and agreement to determine whether or not the agreement was unlawful.

“If so, we must then determine if it is void in its entirety.”

Oksana Grigorieva has claimed she was threatened with jail, deportation and the loss of her two children if she didn’t sign an agreement to destroy Mel Gibson’s taped rants, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

The aborted peace talks — first reported by RadarOnline.com — have become a crucial to the case, after it emerged Mel Gibson’s camp had sought Oksana’s agreement to destroy "evidence" -- including the hate-fuelled and expletive-laden tapes, in exchange for $15 million.

Oksana signed the agreement — ensuring “evidence” such as “recordings, audio tapes, emails, text messages, videotapes and photographs” would be wiped out — but reneged at the critical moment.

Oksana's lawyer, Daniel Horowitz, has told RadarOnline.com, exclusively: "The only reason she would have signed the draft agreement as she did was because she was threatened and told she would go to jail, be deported and lose immediate possession of her children.”

"Oksana refused to sign the formal agreement because she did not want Mel Gibson to have overnight custody of their child. Having seen the violent nature of his temper she was concerned for the safety of her child as well as herself.

Two retired judges oversaw the dispute, which took place May 15 and 16 and lasted approximately 12 hours, each day.

Horowitz told RadarOnline.com, “The role of the attorneys and the retired judges in the creation of this document are probably a major subject of scrutiny and I personally would not to participate in this kind of negotiation, because it is morally ambiguous.”

Oksana Grigorieva's camp is making a dramatic change in their legal argument against Mel Gibson — that she was the victim of the Oscar-winning actor’s attempted extortion.

The claim centers around the $15 million peace agreement that the Russian musician walked away from after failed mediation talks in May, which RadarOnline.com was first to report.

In the agreement, which Mel and Oksana both signed in draft form, she promised to destroy "evidence," including the hate-fuelled and expletive-laden tapes.

According to the document, Mel agreed to pay Oksana and their infant daughter, Lucia, approximately $15 million.

In return, Oksana agreed to "turn over all 'evidence' and represent and warrant that all evidence has been turned over and all evidence will be destroyed in a manner agreed upon by both parties."

“Evidence” was defined as “recordings, audio tapes, emails, text messages, videotapes and photographs... of Gibson.”

Oksana's lawyer, Daniel Horowitz, told RadarOnline.com: "It is my understanding that attorneys are not permitted to take evidence of a crime and destroy that evidence, under Californian law."

He said, “Oksana felt that she was being threatened at the mediation and she felt she would lose her daughter and be arrested for making the tapes, if she did not sign the agreement.

A source inside Team Oksana told RadarOnline.com: “It’s clear that Oksana was the one extorted, because she went to the mediation understanding she was there to discuss child custody issues and to amicably resolve questions about her and Mel’s child, so that there was no public exposure of their personal life.

“Yet what it turned into was a barrage of threats for her to sign an agreement which turned over evidence of crimes by Mel Gibson against her.

“If she did not do that, she was threatened with law suits, arrests and the loss of her child.

Oksana Grigorieva was interviewed Wednesday for more than two hours by the Los Angeles County District Attorney about the alleged smack down Mel Gibson dished out.
