Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney has enlisted a band of celebrities to go ‘veggie’ once a week to help global warming.

Coldplay’s Chris Martin, actors Kevin Spacey and Woody Harrelson, plus Virgin tycoon Sir Richard Branson are backing McCartney’s and his family’s bid for people to give-up meat on Mondays.

‘Meat Free Monday’ aims to reduce Greenhouse gas emissions from the world’s livestock population – thought to be a major cause of global warming.
