Marfa Mayor Dunlap told RadarOnline.com: “They were both released from jail after posting bail and we saw them packing-up some belongings into their car and driving off.

“We had to tow their large truck from outside their building because we wanted to paint some new parking lines and word must have got out to them because they came back to get the truck.
“It doesn’t look like they are going to be in Marfa over Christmas and the New Year now and I cannot say what will happen to them in the future.

Also, local Deputy James Davis has sued them for defamation after Evi painted the side of a truck and parked it outside Mayor Dunlap’s office accusing Davis of taking bribes.

Hughes, who lives in New York, exclusively told Radar Online.com: “We have contacted our lawyers and we are just waiting to see what happens. They are totally deluded because they think that part of the building belongs to them when it does not. The thrift store that operates in our building has lost a lot of business because they have taken-up all the parking spaces and they keep trying to intimidate people in the town. I do not know why they have behaved in this way but they have upset so many locals in Marfa for no real reason. We were hoping to move there one day but to have them as neighbors might be really difficult - legally we are monitoring what is going-on with our building.”
