A video showing a bank robbery suspect drew big laughs on Friday's edition of The Today Show, as the perpetrator bore an uncanny resemblance to the show's anchor, Matt Lauer.
"I've got three kids to feed," Lauer joked of his starling resemblance to the bank robber.

"And the getaway car was driven by a Katie Couric look-a-like," chimed in weatherman Al Roker.

A woman who was once engaged to accused killer Ryan Jenkins, spoke out exclusively with Matt Lauer on The Today Show Thursday morning.
Actress and model Paulina Chmielecka dated Ryan Jenkins for two years, and claims the man who is accused of killing and mutilating Jasmine Fiore's body, never saw a violent streak in the man she was engaged to. "Of course we fought like any normal relationship but there were no signs of violence."

Move over Susan Boyle – there’s a new YouTube sensation coming out of British television. In just the past few days, more than a million people have logged onto the internet to see the jaw-dropping performance of 27-year old schoolteacher Danyl Johnson, who recently wowed the judges on the X-Factor, a British version of American Idol.
Johnson made his American television debut on Thursday, appearing on NBC’s Today Show. Johnson told hosts Matt Lauer and Ann Curry that his students encouraged him to audition.

Currently serving the remainder of his four-year sentence for tax evasion under house arrest in Newport, RI, Richard Hatch sat down with The Today Show's Matt Lauer for his first exclusive interview on Tuesday. The reality star you loved to hate on Survivor told Lauer his conviction was based on his onscreen arrogant persona and his homosexuality.
"I don't think you or any one else can deny that we as homosexuals face discrimination."

Michael Jackson's grieving brother Jermaine told The Today Show Thursday his brother's death hit him emotionally the minute he saw the media frenzy buzzing above the medical facility where the fallen King of Pop was pronounced dead.
"I saw the helicopters in the skies and said, "That's where he is,'" Jermaine, 54, told Matt Lauer.
He told Lauer that he spent a final moment with his lifeless brother — who he called “a gift from Allah” -- in the hospital, kissing him on the forehead and telling him he'd always be with him.
The emotionally shaken brother admitted to Lauer, "I don't know how people are going to take this, but I wish it was me," noting the pain he felt is "unreal."
Eliot Spitzer Speaks Out On Sex Scandal

Disgraced former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer is returning to the public spotlight.
Spitzer -- known as the "Sheriff of Wall Street" for his financial expertise -- appeared on the Today Show Monday.
He was there to speak out the nation's financial meltdown, but Today Show host Matt Lauer began the interview by addressing what he called "the elephant in the room," referring to the sex scandal that ended Spitzer's political career in early 2008.
