There appears to be yet another mystery in the Rebecca Zahau death case, involving an unknown set of footprints on the balcony that cops claimed Rebecca jumped to her death from, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting. The investigation into the deaths of Rebecca Zahau and Max Shacknai has taken some incredible twists and turns over the past six weeks and now grieving boyfriend and father, Jonah Shacknai, has sent a request to the California attorney general asking that the inquiry be re-examined in both cases, RadarOnline.com has learned.

In a letter sent by Shacknai to the attorney general on Monday, the billionaire wrote that further investigation would be beneficial in, "bringing some clarity, dignity, and ultimately closure to the devastating deaths," reported ABCNews.com.

"The circumstances of Rebecca's suicide were so unusual and upsetting that it was difficult to accept the hard facts that were presented," he went on to write.

A local news helicopter was over the scene of Rebecca's gruesome suicide shortly after her body was discovered, and in a still image that RadarOnline.com has reviewed, there is not a pink rope visible hanging from the balcony, although you can clearly see Rebecca’s lifeless body still on the ground.

Rebecca Zahau's family is seeking donations so they can conduct their own investigation into her death, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Rebecca's death was ruled a suicide by the San Diego Sheriff's Department last week, a finding that her family categorically disagrees with.

Rebecca's sister, Mary Zahau tells RadarOnline.com: "There is no way my sister EVER would have killed herself. We have set up a website, and are seeking donations from the public so that we can hire our own private investigators to look into Rebecca's death.
