Jesse James told his alleged mistress Michelle "Bombshell" McGee that he and wife Sandra Bullock were separated and they were going to go public with the news after her latest movie was completed, McGee’s best friend Mary Gusman told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

Sandra Bullock and Jesse James may be weathering a storm of controversy regarding his alleged affair with Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, but the couple has not yet called it quits despite an internet report.

On Tuesday, a story surfaced that a rep for the actress had been shopping around amongst high-priced lawyers for someone to handle her divorce. A rep for Bullock said the news is “completely false.”

A day before the news broke regarding James’ alleged affair, Bullock left the couple’s home and has yet to surface publicly. Meanwhile, James has been spotted going about his normal routine, working at his motorcycle shop and taking his children to and from school.
