Politics not Hollywood ruled the day as former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton wed her long-time boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky Saturday, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Celebs who had been rumored to be on the guest list, including Oprah Winfrey, were nowhere to be seen. Beside the bride's famous parents, former President Bill Clinton and current Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Democratic Party heavyweights including Vernon Jordan, Terry Auliffe and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright made the cut however.

Hollywood was represented by Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen.  Mary and Hillary Clinton have been close friends since college.  Billionaire movie producer Steve Bing, who once dated Nicole Kidman was also there, but his relationship is more about politics.  He's given hundreds of millions of dollars over the years to Democratic Party causes and candidates.

The bride, 30, wore Vera Wang for her nuptials at Astor Courts in the small town of Rhinebeck, NY, and the famed designer herself was among the guests.

The ceremony was inter-faith, Chelsea is Methodist while Marc is Jewish. Bryan Rafanelli of Boston was the wedding planner.

Immediately following the ceremony, the bride's parents issued a statement: "Today we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends."

The mayor of Rhinebeck, New York, the rumored location of Chelsea Clinton’s upcoming wedding to Marc Mezvinsky, calls the nuptials the “worst kept secret ever”, and told RadarOnline.com that he has yet to be contacted about any arrangements despite part of the city council’s funds being funneled towards security measures for the big day.

“Look, if it’s not happening then a whole lot of people have gone to a lot of trouble for nothing,” Mayor Jim Reardon exclusively told RadarOnline.com. Rhinebeck has a surrounding population of only 3,500. I’m not surprised that nobody has actually contacted me about the wedding because security is very sensitive with so many high profile people on the guest list. But we have 14 part-time police officers who are all available to take part and my colleagues at the New York State Police Department are also actively involved in preparations.”

Gifts have begun to arrive at Astor Courts in Rhinebeck, New York, according to the Hudson Valley News.

There has been an increased amount of activity in the town: a convoy or rental trucks and SUV’s all bearing Massachusetts license plates (the couple’s wedding planner Bryan Rafanelli is based in Boston) were backed up in the driveway and a large flatbed truck carried what looked like large air conditioning units and generators. The truck was too wide to enter through the main entrance and had to go through an adjoining property.

Due to the high-profile nature of the guest list, security has been increased.

All deliveries were met by Rhinebeck police officers and all presents were accepted by security away from the house. The gifts that passed muster were driven to the site by security.
