Fashion Battle: Angelica Cota Suing L'Wren Scott Over Handbag Line

There's a fashion battle brewing in the courts between designers Angelica Cota and L'Wren Scott, and we've got the docs right here on RadarOnline.com.

Cota, who designs the label LuLA, is filing suit against fashion designer Scott, who's just released her Lula handbag line.

In her suit, Cota says Scott -- the Oscar dress designer who once dated Mick Jagger -- is using her patented name; Scott says Lula is named after her mother.

Marion Cotillard is one the foxiest French actresses in the movie biz, known for her sexy and sophisticated red carpet style. Arelenis Sosa is an exotic model from the Dominican with such a flawless face that she is the spokesperson for Lancome. What do these ladies have in common other than their exquisite looks? They both wore the exact same L’Wren Scott dress! Only one of them, however, wore it best.

Marion got her paws on the $1,860 metallic jacquard dress from the designer’s Fall 2009 collection first. The Christian Dior spokesperson paired the curve-hugging number with Dior (of course!) peep-toes for the Los Angeles premiere of Inception back in July. Pulling her hair tightly back and wearing a minimal amount of makeup, Marion looked naturally gorgeous.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Natalie Portman hit the New York City Ballet Spring Gala on Thursday night, not looking their red carpet best. The sexy stars, who usually excite in fab couture, both sported looks, which failed to impress.

Sarah Jessica mixed and matched designers, which proved to be a fateful decision. Pairing a gorgeously embellished, Elie Saab Spring 2010 Couture dress with an emerald green L’Wren Scott jacket (over a neon green bra!) resulted in an awkward look for the usually stylin' star.

Natalie opted for a beige and red Lavin Spring 2010 mini, which she belted at the waist in a sparkly number from the same collection. The chiffon number may have worked on someone else, but it didn’t suit Natalie, and she ended up looking like a little girl playing dress up.

At the Los Angeles premiere of Nine, leading ladies Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz were both wearing frocks straight off the L’Wren Scott runway! While Nicole looked fantastically feminine in a pink body skimmer, Penelope looked spectacularly sophisticated in a black halter.
