EXCLUSIVE: Lou Ferrigno Hasn’t joined Dancing With The Stars...Yet

The original Hulk Lou Ferrigno is still a little green from envy of Dancing With the Stars alums. Despite rumors he has been signed on for the next season, his wife and manager tell RadarOnline.com that it isn’t so...at least not yet.
“Lou absolutely wants to do the show but we haven’t signed any papers yet, so, I don’t know how that story got out,” Carla Ferrigno said. “We’ve been told by other contestants that they were presented with contracts only a few days before Dancing With The Stars actually started, so, we’ll have to wait and see.”
The famous body builder turned actor is so excited by the prospect of hitting the dance floor that he’s even started to get himself in shimmying shape. Both he and Carla love to dance at weddings and have been going to nightclubs to practice in case he does get the official call from ABC.
“People love it when they see us dance in public and whenever we take to the floor at parties at The Playboy mansion everybody goes wild,” she added. “The official announcement is on August 17, so, we will probably know if he is taking part a few days before then.”
Ferrigno - who had been training Michael Jackson before he died – held ‘successful talks’ with the show’s producers several months ago.
“Lou is a fantastic dancer and he really wants to win the competition as he has an athlete’s mentality and the producer’s really love that,” Carla added. “He had a hip-replacement operation a few months ago but he has fully recovered from that and he has lost around 25 lbs so he would look great in his costumes.”
The massive 6’4 star now weighs around 255 lbs and got in shape by regulating his diet and doing plenty of cardio exercises.
Lou Ferrigno: Michael Jackson Was Hulking Up For O2 Residency

The late Michael Jackson was working hard to try and improve his stamina for his 50-date residency at London's O2 Area, his trainer, Lou Ferrigno said Tuesday.
The Thriller star was focused on "conditioning, toning, and increasing his flexibility and stamina for the summer slate," The Incredible Hulk star told Good Morning America Robin Roberts.
"The workout wasn't any heavy resistance. A lot of stretching and a light walk on the treadmill -- being 50, his body went through a lot of stress getting ready for the tour, but he was awesome."
Ferrigno, who had previously helped train the late Beat It singer for a 1994 tour, said the grim news still hasn't quite sunk in.
"I was devastated," he said. "I mean I was shocked. I still think of it as like a joke or a like a dream."
