A day after three wealth asset managers -- Gregg Skidmore, Brandon Lacoff and Tim Davidson -- claimed a $254 million Powerball jackpot in Connecticut, a friend of one of the men says the bankers are covering for the true winner, who wants to stay anonymous.

Tom Gladstone, a pal of one of the Belpointe Asset Management firm bankers, told ABC News the bankers were looking "to protect their client" from the scrutiny lotto winners are subjected to.

Gilbert and Jacki Cisneros of Southern California are $266 million richer after winning Tuesday night's multi-state Mega Millions draw, because of an off-hand twist of fate revolving around ... chicken.  

Appearing on Thursday's Today Show, Jacki, an employee of KNBC -TV in Los Angeles, said she wanted KFC, but her hubby Gilbert had a craving for Mexican food. 

Not wanting to deal with the hassle of trying to park in downtown L.A., Gilbert instead decided upon a nearby Hawaiian BBQ joint in their hometown of Pico Rivera.

Michael Jackson Memorial: 1.6 Million Sign Up For Tickets!

Not even Michael Jackson's family anticipated the extraordinary number of requests for tickets to his memorial service, scheduled Tuesday at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

When the registration process closed Saturday night, 1.6 million had submitted their names for the free tickets.  Overnight, those applications were "scrubbed" for duplicate entries, and starting at 11 AM PST today, emails will go out to the lucky lottery winners.  A total of 8,750 registrants will be notified they've been selected to get two tickets each to either the live memorial service at Staples or the live simulcast in the smaller Nokia Theatre LA LIVE next door.
