Apparently Randy and Evi Quaid's downward spiral extended to his professional life as well. A former main actor on the doomed play Lone Star Love opened up to RadarOnline.com about the hellish experience dealing with the couple.

Private Investigator Fears For Randy Quaid’s Life

"I’m not surprised that Randy and Evi Quaid’s lifes are spiraling out of control," the actor, who did not want to be named for fear of retaliation from the couple, said. “I don’t wish anybody ill will but those two were a complete nightmare and totally sabotaged the play and ruined it for everybody else."

An Arrest Warrant Is Issued For The Quaids

The Quaids are set to appear in a Santa Barbara court on October 19 regarding an unpaid $10,000 bill at the ritzy San Ysidro Ranch.

The news of their indiscretions did not come as a shock to the actor who helped bring the case against the pair which resulted in Quaid getting banned for life by the Actors Equity Association and fined $81,572 for inappropriate behavior while starring in the play.

Randy and Evi Face Felony Charges

“In my opinion they both enable one another and drug abuse is the root problem and until they get that sorted-out I fear things will only get worse for them," the actor continued. "A friend of mine was working with Randy Quaid only a few weeks ago on a voice-over gig and he showed up two hours late and was hellish to work for throughout. The sad part is that he is talented but until he mends his ways nobody will want to work with him.”

More on the Police Investigation

The actor revealed that Quaid and his wife - who served as his manager while he starred in Lone Star Love – indulged in some bizarre antics during the pre-Broadway run in Seattle in 2007.

The Brokeback Mountain actor played Falstaff in the play which was basically a country and western re-working of Shakespeare’s Merry Wives Of Windsor. According to the source their madcap antics included:

-Evi e-mailing a photograph of her vagina with the words “Eat Me” attached to it to a stage manager after her husband refused to wear costumes designed by Tony winner Jane Greenwood.
-Randy struck an actor three times on the head during a live performance of the play and then told irate production managers that he was only trying to knock his hat off.
-The husband and wife team hired security guards to protect them from the cast and crew because they felt endangered and then failed to pay them.
-Randy was continually verbally abusive to the other actors and crew constantly yelling “wrong f***ing deal” when things didn’t go his way.
-The husband and wife team would try and get other actors fired by playing good cop bad cop tactics to intimidate them about their performances.
-Evi would illegally video-tape performances and then post them on You Tube for self promotion of her husband.
-Randy refused to rehearse with the cast any changes in the preview run effectively bringing the production to a halt.

Ironically, when the Actors Equity Association held their hearing into the complaints that were lodged by all 26 of the cast’s production Randy did not appear for the video conference session in Los Angeles which was attended by his wife instead.

“It was ridiculous because when she was told that she had no place being there she went crazy and started calling everybody Nazis," the actor revealed. "As far as I’m concerned they single handedly destroyed the play before it got it’s Broadway run and this impacted so many people financially and emotionally too. But I’m glad that we stood up for ourselves and that the Actors Equity Association took the action that they did because at least they were held accountable for their actions.”

It has not been the best month for Brokeback Mountain star Randy Quaid. With one lawsuit already simmering in the courts, RadarOnline.com has learned that the actor is being probed by police regarding an alleged unpaid hotel bill.

Randy and Evi’s other legal woes

"Randy and Evi Quaid checked into the luxurious five star hotel the San Ysidro Ranch on June 13, 2009, the next day the Quaid's were notified by the hotel their credit card was declined.  For several days the Quaid 's told hotel management that they were waiting for a new credit card to be sent to them in the meantime racking up several thousand dollars worth of charges,” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

On June 20, hotel employees noticed the actor had left without paying the bill. It totaled more than $10,000. Efforts to collect the money for the past few months have been unsuccessful.

How Randy's life may be in danger

The actor and his wife Evi Quaid - who were at the center of a reported death threat scare - are being investigated by Santa Barbara police.

“We can confirm there is an on-going investigation underway,” a police spokesperson confirmed to RadarOnline.com but declined to offer any more specifics.

In an unrelated matter, private eye Becky Altringer is suing the couple for $19,000 in unpaid fees after she was hired to investigate death threats and insurance fraud against the Quaids. Altringer claims Evi asked her to harass members of the Broadway play Lone Star Love and that she witnessed the star's wife snort white powder. Evi claimed it was Demerol to treat migraine headaches.

Her husband was thrown out of the actors Equity Association in Febuary 2008 after he was accused by the Lone Star Love cast of verbally and physically assaulting them.

Reps for the hotel refused to comment and the couple’s lawyer did not immediately return requests.
