An era ended Friday, as iconic talk show host Regis Philbin made his final appearance after 28 years on his long-running ABC morning show, where he was serenaded with a heartwarming speech from co-host Kelly Ripa.

Kelly said that the 43 steps she took with Regis from the dressing room to the studio floor daily made for a life-changing journey and you can see her entire speech on RadarOnline.com.

"As I was reflecting, and we were taking our final 43 steps together, I thought back to our first 43 steps and I was absolutely terrified -- absolutely filled with fear -- and you grabbed my hand and we walked down the hallway, came out the door...and you did something for me,” Kelly said.

It’s the end of an era Friday, as iconic talk show host Regis Philbin calls it a day on his long-running ABC morning show.

The 50+ year show biz mainstay made the landmark announcement he'd be leaving earlier this year, telling viewers "this will be my last year on the show.

"It's been a long time,” he said on his January 18 broadcast. “It's been 28 years and it was the biggest thrill of my life to come back to New York, where I grew up as a kid watching TV in the early days, you know, never even dreaming that I would one day have the ability, or whatever it takes, to get in front of the camera and talk to it.

Regis Philbin is admitting publicly that “contractual issues” have forced him to leave his longstanding gig on LIVE! with Regis and Kelly, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The 80-year-old talk show veteran first announced in January that he would be leaving the hit ABC show -- but didn’t say why -- and in September he stated his last day will be November 18.

“The contractual issue just never worked out, but I was going to leave before that anyway,” Regis said when he opened up to The Mojo in the Morning radio show on Friday.

Legendary talk show host Regis Philbin has announced that his final day on LIVE! with Regis and Kelly will be on Friday, November 18.

Philbin dropped the news Tuesday as the show began its 24th season in national syndication.

Philbin, 80, announced last January that he planned to leave the show by the end of the year, although he did not give a specific date at that time.

LIVE! will continue with co-host Kelly Ripa, although a replacement for Philbin has yet to be named.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are house hunting for a place to call their own.

"They are looking for a new house to move into together," a source told People. Their search is focused on the greater L.A. area.

Jennifer and Justin met on the set of Wanderlust last year, and began openly dating this spring after the film wrapped.

Aniston is currently homeless in L.A. The sale of her famous Zen-influenced mansion -- the one she bought and then spent two years renovating -- reportedly closes at the end of the month. She still owns her pre-Brad Pitt house in the Hollywood Hills, but leases that out.

She also owns a newly-purchased one bedroom apartment in New York City's West Village but she jokingly said it is "about as big as a table" during a recent appearance on Live with Regis & Kelly, and she has it totally ripped about for renovation.

Justin, a successful writer as well as an actor, has is own place in the Big Apple.

Their romance has already moved to the level where Jen has introduced Justin to her actor dad John Aniston.

Wanderlust opens October 7 and the movie's premiere may mark Jen and Justin's first red carpet appearance as a couple.
