In the 25 years that she has been on the air, Oprah has run the gamut of entertainment and serious news.

From teaching the correct technique of sexual performance to crying on the stage when the first black president was elected, Oprah Winfrey’s show impacted American culture and made her the richest person in entertainment. RadarOnline.com remembers her most significant moments:

The show that Oprah called her “biggest, fattest” mistake was in 1998 when she wheeled out 67 pounds of fat to show how much weight she had lost. “I had literally starved myself for four months – not a morsel of food – to get into that pair of size 10 Calvin Klein jeans,” Oprah has said.  “Two hours after that show I started eating to celebrate-of course, within two days those jeans no longer fit.”

Oprah's at home interview with Michael Jackson showed the King of Pop during a rare appearance.  On the episode he revealed that he suffered from the skin pigment disorder known as Vitiligo.  In a later episode, Oprah asked Lisa Marie Presley about her marriage to the Jackson and her comment was “Holy mother of God!”

Oprah Quits!

Never mess with Oprah’s Book Club!  After it was revealed that James Frey, author of A Million Little Pieces, made up the major points in his story, Oprah had him back on to her show in 2006 to chastise him publicly for lying to her.  Oprah told Frey “I feel duped and disappointed. I feel that you conned us all.”

At the premiere of Oprah’s 19th season she surprised the audience in September 2004 by giving all 276 guests and brand new Pontiac G-6 2005 sports sedan! Winfrey jumped up and down on her stage screaming “Everybody gets a car! Everybody gets a car!”

However, the most memorable moment of all may be in 2005, when Tom Cruise started his major career crash by couch surfing on the Oprah show.  Jumping up and down on the sofa, pumping his fists and declaring his love for Katie Holmes, while forgetting how the two met, stands out as the beginning of his decline in popularity.  Oprah was shocked, viewers went crazy, and the couch surfing spawned parodies of the incident on the internet and television.

Elvis Presley’s memory continues to live on long after his sudden death and now fans have another part of his legacy to look forward to: his seventeen-year old grandson just scored a five million dollar deal to record five albums.

Benjamin, the son of Elvis’ daughter Lisa Marie and musician Danny Keough, was offered the deal by Universal and has already begun recording. While he will be jumping into the family business, his style will differ from his famous grandfather’s.

“The music will be nothing like Elvis, nothing like him at all,” the teen reportedly said at the Inspiration Awards for Women at Cadogan Hall in Belgravia. Despite his pedigree, his rep insists he’s just a normal teen.

“He’s a typical 17-year old,” the spokesperson said. “He doesn’t get up before midday and then grunts at you.”

Since Michael Jackson’s sudden death there has been a lot of speculation about how much the King of Pop is really worth. Despite reported assets of $1 billion it is estimated his debts were $500 million and rising.

During his career Jackson attracted scores of lawsuits (most of which were settled out of court) and RadarOnline.com has unearthed the papers of his largest known settlement.

In 1994 Jackson paid to set up a trust for Jordy Chandler (now 29) in the amount of $15,332,250. Chandler, son of Beverly Hills dentist and screenwriter Evan Chandler, alleged he had been molested by the singer.

The carefully worded twenty-page agreement was for compensatory damages for alleged personal injuries arising from the claim of sexual molestation. Both sides agreed to keep the proceedings strictly confidential and to make no public statements, especially to the media, or accuse each other of wrongful conduct. Shortly after the massive pay-out the LA County District attorney announced that no sexual molestation charges would be filed against Jackson since the only witness was not prepared to testify.

Two years later Evan Chandler filed a lawsuit in Santa Barbara against Jackson, Lisa Marie Presley and other defendants including ABC TV, Diane Sawyer and Sony Music. Among other things he claimed fraud conspiracy, breach of contract slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

An arbitration panel found that Evan’s case lacked substance and ordered the family to pay Jackson’s legal fees and costs. Evan appealed the decision with the California Court Of Appeals in 2000.  A number of sealed documents were unsealed so that the appeals court judge could fully understand the complaint. The court upheld the panel’s original decision that Jackson had not breached the original agreement by going on a Diane Sawyer ABC special with Lisa Marie Presley and by making public statements about the case.

Jackson Was Afraid He’d Die Like Elvis

Lisa Marie Presley wrote a candid note to her fans on Friday explaining the truth behind her marriage to Michael Jackson, his family’s longtime fears about his well-being, and Jackson’s prediction he would end up like her father Elvis.

“He Knew.” she wrote about a conversation she had with him years ago. “I can't recall the exact subject matter but he may have been questioning me about the circumstances of my Fathers Death. At some point he paused, he stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, "I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he did."

“I promptly tried to deter him from the idea, at which point he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter of fact as if to let me know, he knew what he knew and that was kind of that.”

Presley also addressed the validity of their marriage for the first time: “Our relationship was not ‘a sham’ as is being reported in the press. It was an unusual relationship yes, where two unusual people who did not live or know a ‘Normal life’ found a connection, perhaps with some suspect timing on his part. Nonetheless, I do believe he loved me as much as he could love anyone and I loved him very much.”

She admitted that even 14 years ago, his family and friends “wanted to save him” and were “all worried that this would be the outcome.”

“I wanted to save him from the inevitable which is what has just happened,” Presley wrote.  “I became very ill and emotionally/ spiritually exhausted in my quest to save him from certain self-destructive behavior and from the awful vampires and leeches he would always manage to magnetize around him.”

“As I sit here overwhelmed with sadness, reflection and confusion at what was my biggest failure to date, watching on the news almost play by play The exact Scenario I saw happen on August 16th, 1977 happening again right now with Michael (A sight I never wanted to see again) just as he predicted, I am truly, truly gutted.”

Lisa Marie Presley Speaks Out on Michael Jackson Death

Lisa Marie Presley, ex-wife of Michael Jackson, has spoken out on the singer's tragic death.

“I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children who I know were everything to him and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me," Presley said in a statement.

The daughter of fellow music legend Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie and Michael were married in May 1994 to a firestorm of publicity.

After almost two years wed, with speculation regarding the legitimacy and intimacy of their relationship, Presley filed for divorce in January 1996.

The split was said to be amicable. They crossed paths again in 2005, when Presley was called upon as a witness during a child molestation trial in which Jackson was embroiled.

She claimed to have witnessed acts she "couldn't do anything about," but later said she was taken out of context, and came to Jackson's defense, claiming she never saw him engaged in inappropriate behavior with children.

Presley is currently married to musician Michael Lockwood with two fraternal twins, and daughter Riley Keough from a previous marriage.

Lisa Marie's mother Priscilla Presley also expressed her sadness at Michael's passing.  "I'm in shock, as I know everyone must be.  What a tragic loss."
