Currently wallowing in a maximum security prison in northern Lima serving 28 years after he pleaded guilty to the May 2010 killing, van der Sloot has been complaining about his pitiful state of mind despite confessing to the brutal crime.

When asked if she was attracted to the devious murderer who is 31 years her junior, the Lake City, Florida woman replied adamantly: “It would be a fraud if there was a romantic relationship between Joran and me.

It's less than a month since Joran van der Sloot was sentenced to 28 years for the murder of Stephany Flores, but the cold-hearted killer is hoping to be a free man in less than five years, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

"He is appealing his sentence and hopes he gets parole in less than five years," an insider exclusively revealed to RadarOnline.com.

If van der Sloot's prediction comes true, it will mean he is a free man by 2017 and will serve a fraction of the sentence that was handed to him on January 13 after he confessed to the May 2010 killing of the 21-year-old Peruvian student.

In the handwritten mail, sent from Castro Castro prison in Lima, Peru to Mary Hamer of Lake City, Florida, the convicted killer begs her not to take any actions until he has found a way to call her.

"I hope you keep supporting me," wrote van der Sloot, in the letter obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com. "If everything goes according to plan I will be able to contact you soon."

Currently facing 28 years in prison for the murder  of a Peruvian student, Joran van der Sloot relayed details of his troubled background and life before his arrest in a chilling handwritten letter to police, and RadarOnline.com has an exclusive copy of his writings.

Titled 'My Personal Story,' van der Sloot was asked to write the text by forensic psychologist Silvia Rojas Regalado as part of a handwriting examination and it is part of an official police document.

Joran van der Sloot was sentenced to 28 years on Friday for the murder of Peruvian student Stephany Flores.

Two days after he pleaded guilty to the 2010 killing of the 21-year-old, the Dutchman stood solemnly in a Lima courtroom as his sentence was handed down.

Van der Sloot has been held in the Castro Castro prison since June 2010, so taking into consideration time served, the 24-year-old will be eligible for release in 2038.

Along with the hefty prison sentence, Joran was also ordered to pay the victim's family $74,500.

In light of Wednesday's confession to the murder of Stephany Flores, Joran van der Sloot now faces a prison sentence that could be far less than if he had gone to trial, but his self-professed "guardian angel" wants him to be released all together, claiming that in 2022 Joran will be presenting “his thesis of peace to the world.”

Mary Hamer, of Lake City, Florida, who has been paying the Dutchman's legal fees during his incarceration in Lima's Castro Castro prison, wrote a letter of appeal on Thursday to Peruvian President Ollanta Humala asking for Joran to be placed in her care.

"My humble request for clemency and mercy for honest and sincere statement of confession of Joran van der Sloot. Please release Mr. van der Sloot to me for 10 years Gandhi Nonviolence Program," wrote Hamer, in Spanish.
