The show goes on for late night host Craig Ferguson.
The funny Scotsman, 48, took the stage Tuesday after a threatening letter containing a mysterious white powder was sent to his studio at CBS Television City in Los Angeles' Fairfax District, addressed to him.
The Late Late Show host described the not-so-funny scenario in his opening monologue.

With Anthony Weiner's resignation from Congress, the comedy goldmine known as "Weinergate" is drawing to a close, and late night hosts Thursday roasted the embarrassed politician like he was going out of style.
Jay Leno joked we'd be getting "no more junk mail" from Weiner after he "announced he's stepping down -- he couldn't stick it out any longer!"

Chilean miner Edison Pena charmed David Letterman Thursday night.
Edison was Dave’s first guest and through an interpreter, he relayed his harrowing experience of being trapped with 33 other miners for 69 days.
Edison survived the ordeal by running three to six miles a day in the darkness of the mine, and was extended an invitation to run in the New York City Marathon this Sunday, November 7.

Joan Rivers surprised David Letterman during an appearance on The Late Show Thursday night when she brought with her a small container containing the ashes of her late husband Edgar Rosenberg, prompting the talk show host to ask her: "Is that legal? Do you carry him around everywhere?"
Rivers responded, "No, just when I go on late night, because I've been banned so long, so I like to say, 'Look we're back.'" To prove her point, she then smudged some of the ashes under Letterman's desk.

Craig Ferguson says yes, it's true; He's expecting a baby with wife Megan Wallace Cunningham, and he joked about it in his opening monologue on The Late Late Show Wednesday night.
The funny Scotsman said of his bundle-of-joy-to-be: “Guess what -- my wife’s pregnant!” to a rousing ovation from his studio audience.
He then joked that he gave himself the same applause after conceiving the child. He said that he initially Tweeted about it earlier Wednesday to avoid it leaking in the tabloids, so that he wouldn’t be associated with Mel Gibson.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, in yet more fallout from the great late night shake-up of 2010, ex-Tonight Show host Conan O'Brien received an Emmy nomination Thursday morning for his work on the NBC institution, while Leno, his replacement, did not.
