In the wake of the shocking accusations between Larry King and his wife Shawn -- who both filed for divorce Wednesday, with Shawn claiming Larry was having an affair with her sister -- RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that Larry's sister-in-law, Shannon Engemann, would often visit the 76-year-old broadcasting icon while he was at work.

"She visited him numerous times all on her own," a Larry King Live employee told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "And she was always very comfortable around Larry... their relationship seemed very natural."

The divorcing couple has had a troubled relationship for five years, multiple sources tell RadarOnline.com exclusively.

As RadarOnline.com reported exclusively Wednesday, Shawn accused Larry of sleeping with her sister.
And Larry accused Shawn of sleeping with their son’s baseball coach.

“The marriage has been unwinding for five years,” one source who knows the couple told RadarOnline.com.
And things got physical when Shawn and Larry slapped each other in public after a bitter argument.
It happened on Feb. 7, in Beverly Hills in front of Nate’n’ Al’s restaurant, one of Larry’s favorite places.
The warring couple argued inside the restaurant and Larry got physical with Shawn, grabbing her arm hard.
They began yelling at each other and stormed outside. Eyewitnesses to the event say Larry grabbed Shawn by the arm and ordered her to go back in the restaurant.

But Shawn pulled away and slapped Larry in the face with her other hand.
Larry, infuriated, then pushed Shawn.
Witnesses were stunned as Larry and Shawn traded slaps.
“That wasn’t even the beginning of the end,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “Things were already bad at that point.
“This marriage has been on the rocks for years.”

Larry King’s wife Shawn accused him of sleeping with her own sister, RadarOnline.com is reporting exclusively.
Earlier this year, Shawn became convinced that Larry and her sister Shannon Engemann, 45, were having an affair.

People close to the situation said they believed Larry bought Shannon a $160,000 luxury car and spent more than one million dollars on her!
Shawn and Shannon fought bitterly over the situation, sources said.

Shawn was accused of cheating with Hector Penate, the baseball coach of one her children. Shawn denied it but Hector did not.
And in an even more bizarre twist Larry was accused of cheating with Shawn’s sister, Shannon Engemann. Larry, Shannon and Shawn all denied it but it was clear that there were big problems in the marriage.

Larry and Shawn have been battling for the past several years and Larry slapped her outside a deli in 2007.
