Michael Jackson's funeral will be watched by millions but protected by a network of security committed to maintaining his privacy and security from the day of his funeral onwards. Authorities at Forest Lawn Cemetery and the Glendale police department have made arrangements to ensure Jackson's funeral ceremony will remain an intimate one reserved for family and close friends.

One report confirmed that Randy Jackson was nominated by his family to make sure that his brother’s final resting place is as private and secure as possible.

Extraordinary steps have been taken before Jackson’s body is even placed in the star studded Great Mausoleum that includes Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and W.C. Fields: Armed private guards are patrolling the cemetery to keep any unwanted intruders out, a police helicopter is sweeping with infrared cameras searching for any stowaway photographers hiding on the grounds, and there is a three mile "no-fly" zone around the cemetery between 5pm and 10pm except for police helicopters.

The cemetery will also be shut to the public and anyone wanting to visit their family in the mausoleum where Jackson will be placed will be accompanied by cemetery security at all times.

The interior of The Great Mausoleum is ringed with security cameras and alarms with individual plots being walled-off. Family members and plot holders must pass through guards and security cameras and the areas are manned to make sure nobody without the correct credentials are allowed inside.

An LAPD spokesperson told RadarOnline.com: “Both Forest Lawn and Glendale Police are coordinating the funeral and we will be standing-by to help if that request is made. All measures are being taken to keep this as private an event as possible for the family at this time.”

Jackson's estate will absorb the cost of the service including the policing and other private costs incurred.

Two key witnesses in the Michael Jackson investigation have finally been interviewed by the LAPD, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

Alberto Alvarez, the security guard that made the 911 call, and Michael Amir, Michael Jackson's chief of staff, were interviewed Monday at the office of their attorney, Carl Douglas.

The two men were interviewed separately, and the interview was audio taped. A well place law enforcement source tells RadarOnline.com, "The information that was gained from both men was extremely helpful to the investigation. Both men were very thoughtful and honest with their answers, and both of their stories were consistent. Total time the two were interviewed was about 2 1/2 hours."

Two detectives from the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division conducted the interview, and the insider says, "Investigators were very impressed and thankful that neither men have spoken with the media, nor will they. There are no plans at this point for a follow-up interview, but if necessary, both will gladly comply. Alvarez and Amir's only interest was telling investigators what they knew."

Alvarez and Amir were there the day that Michael Jackson died. Alvarez was in the room with Michael Jackson and Dr. Conrad Murray in the crucial moments before the ambulance arrived.

Calls to Carl Douglas seeking comment were not returned.

It may be much ado about nothing - a torn shirt, a ruined photograph. Not exactly the crime of the century, but still, Mad Max hasn’t found the time to talk to the cops about it, despite their requests.

It’s been nearly two weeks since Mel Gibson allegedly got into some sort of altercation with a man who tried to snap his picture at a nightclub, but the Braveheart star still has NOT spoken with Los Angeles Police Department detectives investigating the case, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

A source close to the investigation tell us that Gibson’s assistant keeps telling authorities: “He’s busy filming.” The LAPD says it may have to go to the LA County District Attorney’s Office and tell them that Gibson won’t cooperate.
