Lauren Conrad may have left The Hills but that didn't stop the reality TV star from landing atop the New York Times best-seller list with her debut novel, L.A. Candy.

The book's storyline is loosely based on Conrad's own life, following her from Hollywood intern to reality star. L.A. Candy is part of a three-book deal for Conrad, who also has a new fashion line coming out in October.
