The doctor under investigation in the death of Michael Jackson is in even more trouble in Las Vegas.  An arrest warrant was recommended for Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's doctor, on Wednesday after he missed a hearing in his child support case.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal broke the news that a family court hearing master recommended a bench warrant for the arrest of Dr. Murray.  The doctor currently owes $13,000 to Nenita Malibiran, who lives in California.

The arrest warrant isn’t his only problem, and the district attorney’s office will be asking the Nevada medical board to suspend his license to practice medicine, according to KLAS 8 in Las Vegas.

“It’s rare that we have to petition to suspend a person’s professional license; but it is an option we have, and we’ll exercise that option,” District Attorney David Roger said.

Murray is in debt for both student loans and has defaulted on a a home he owns in Nevada.  He owes $71,332 in student loans for medical school and more than $363,700 in judgments from lawsuits against him or his business.

According to the L.A. County coroner’s officials, lethal levels of the anesthetic propofol were in Michael Jackson’s system. Conrad Murray told detectives he had been administrating the drug for weeks to treat Jackson’s insomnia.

Moments ago, The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office finally released the official cause of death of pop superstar Michael Jackson.

In a statement sent to RadarOnline.com, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said:

"The drugs PROPOFOL and LORAZEPAM were found to be the primary drugs responsible for Mr. Jackson's death. Other drugs detected were: Midazolam, Diazepam, Lidocaine and Ephedrine."

Despite releasing the cause of death, the Coroner's Office has opted not to release the full autopsy report.

Jackson's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, has been a focal point of the investigation ever since Jackson died of cardiac arrest June 25th at his rented mansion in Holmby Hills, an exclusive area of Los Angeles, CA.

Prior to his death, Murray administered various drugs, including the powerful anesthetic Propofol, to the King of Pop.

Jackson reportedly insisted on taking the drug to help him sleep.

At this time, no one has been charged with any wrongdoing in connection with Jackson's death - but that could change with the release of the official Coroner's report.

At the time of his death, Jackson was 50 and on the brink of launching a major comeback in his storied music career.

He is scheduled to be laid to rest on September 3rd, only days after what would have been his 51st birthday.

The private ceremony will still take place at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.

The ceremony "will be limited to family and close friends," according to a statement issued on behalf of the Jackson family.

Residents of the Santa Ynez Valley, where Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch lies, are trying to squash any potential tourism the King of Pop's old stomping grounds might draw to the area, with nostalgia for the late Thriller singer at an all-time high following his death last month.

The group, called Never!, said that the area doesn't have the requisite roads or law enforcement at its disposal that similar attractions, such as Elvis Presley's Graceland, might have.

VIDEO: Jermaine Jackson: “I Wish It Was Me”

Posted on Jul 02, 2009 @ 09:56AM - 2 comments

Michael Jackson's grieving brother Jermaine told The Today Show Thursday his brother's death hit him emotionally the minute he saw the media frenzy buzzing above the medical facility where the fallen King of Pop was pronounced dead.

"I saw the helicopters in the skies and said, "That's where he is,'" Jermaine, 54, told Matt Lauer.

He told Lauer that he spent a final moment with his lifeless brother — who he called “a gift from Allah” -- in the hospital, kissing him on the forehead and telling him he'd always be with him.

The emotionally shaken brother admitted to Lauer, "I don't know how people are going to take this, but I wish it was me," noting the pain he felt is "unreal."

Style Radar: Faboo or Faux Pas? Bold BET Awards Fashions

Style Gallery - June 29

From hip-hop divas in barely-there get-ups to movie stars in full-length gowns, bold statements were front and center on the red carpet of Sunday night's BET Awards in Los Angeles.

Alicia Keys
stood out in the loud blinged out crowd in a Moroccan-inspired bead-, sequin-, and fringe- embellished number that was sexy, sassy and sophisticated.

Beyonce brought the 80s vibe to the red carpet in her designer of choice, Balmain; the diva wore a vibrant, long-sleeve, colored print mini-dress with  sequin embellishments, teaming the bright frock with popping purple peep-toe pumps and malachite hoop earrings. Simply put, the Single Ladies diva's clothes sizzled (We won't start in on her hair, through!).

Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton spent all nine of her fashion lives Sunday, wearing a teeny-weeny fringe dress that showed off more of her body-stocking than it did her body or her style.

Cassie did her best Rihanna impression in an ensemble topped off with jeweled baubles, and a timely accent in the King of Pop's single glove look. Clearly, the Disturbia singer's irreverent, trend-bucking style has gained its share of followers, and we suspect Cassie is first in line.

Going for glam, Radar fashion fave Taraji P. Henson showed off her sizzlin' body and tattoo in a backless, curve-clinging, Kaufman Franco black gown (She stays a fave for that one).

Model mogul Tyra Banks brought sexy back in a man-chic-tastic getup, but feminized with YSL Trib pumps.
