Rolling Stone magazine once called Courtney Love "the most controversial woman in the history of rock". And the singer has earned the title! Over the years Courtney has had a plethora of run ins with the law and her crazy antics have been well documented. RadarOnline.com brings you a run down of some of Love's craziest moments.

July 1995 Love flicked a cigarette at Bikini Kill vocalist Kathleen Hanna, pelted her with candy, and punched her in the face. Nine days later, Love described the incident in an AOL message board post, referring to Hanna as "Ratface". Love pleads guilty to assault later that September

March 1995 Love grabs Quentin Tarantino's Oscar statue at a party and threatens to hit journalist Lynn Hirschberg with it. Hirschberg had previously written an article for Vanity Fair claiming Love used heroin while pregnant.

Courtney Ordered To Stay Away From Daughter

May 1998 Journalist Belissa Cohen files a lawsuit against Love claiming that she grabbed her hair, thrust a knee into her groin then hit her in the face after she took a photo of the singer.

February 2003 Love is arrested at Heathrow airport following an alleged air rage incident.

Courtney Loses Legal Control Of Her Daughter

October 2003 Love is arrested after breaking windows to enter the home of her manager/boyfriend Jim Barber.  Love said that she had paid for the home but police charge her with being under the influence of a controlled substance. Released on bail, four hours later Love was treated for an accidental overdose of Oxycontin.

October 2003 Love looses custody of her daughter Frances Bean, who is placed with her grandmother Wendy O'Connor.

December 2002 In an attempt to revive her musical career, Love took part in a photo shoot in London. During the shoot she is said to have had a bikini wax, poured champagne over her head, stripped off in a taxi cab and streaked down Park Lane in the early hours of Christmas Eve. Later Love halted traffic by lying down in the road clad only in a pair of panties and knee-high boots.

March 2004 Love throws a microphone stand into the crowd during a show, allegedly injuring Gregory Burgett. She is charged with third-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

April 2004 Love allegedly attacks Kristin King, a friend of her former manager / boyfriend,  with a bottle and a metal flashlight. She is charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

August 2005 Love admits to using drugs in violation of her probation. She was ordered into a 28-day treatment program by a judge who said “my belief was that you need to go to the county jail.” This program was also violated, and on September 21 she was sentenced to six months in lock down rehab.

March 2009 Fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir files a lawsuit against Love claiming the singer "has embarked in what is nothing short of an obsessive and delusional crusade to terrorize and destroy" her.

November 2009 Love posts a near incoherent rant on her Facebook page accusing Britney Spears' father of molesting his daughter.

December 2009 Frances' grandmother and aunt are granted temporary guardianship of the 17-year-old. A restraining order is issued barring Love from any contact with her daughter.

Courtney Love once again lost custody of her daughter Francis Bean Cobain on Friday when a Los Angeles court awarded temporary guardianship of her 17-year-old daughter to Frances’ grandma Wendy O’Connor and aunt Kimberly Cobain.

In an exclusive interview Keith Fink, Courtney Love's lawyer, tells RadarOnline.com, "All I can tell you as Courtney's friend is that she loves her daughter more then anything in the world. Courtney will no doubt do what is best for Frances and will surely take her teenage daughter's desire and feelings into consideration with respect to the legal guardian issue."

And according to a neighbor of Cobain and O’Connor staying with the two could well be the best for Frances at this present time. “Wendy and Kimberly are really good neighbors that take good care of their property,” Christina Cox tells RadarOnline.com. “Kimberly is a really hard worker and they are both respectful and responsible people, so it is good that Frances will be living with them.”

This is the second time that Courtney has lost custody of Frances to the teenager’s grandmother. The first time was in 2003 following Courtney’s arrest for attempted burglary, a drug overdose and a suicide threat.

Courtney Love Loses Legal Control of Daughter

Courtney Love has lost legal control over her 17-year-old daughter Frances Bean Cobain.

In papers filed Friday at Los Angeles Superior Court temporary guardianship was granted to Wendy O’Connor and Kimberly Cobain, mother and sister of Courtney’s late husband, and father of Frances, singer Kurt Cobain.

The guardianship is for both Frances’ personal and financial well-being, although the guardians will not have control over the trust that was created for Frances after her father’s death.

This isn’t the first time Love has lost control of her daughter. In October 2003 she lost custody of Frances when she was ordered to live with Wendy O’Connor following Love’s arrest for an attempted break-in to her ex-boyfriend’s home, a drugs overdose and a suicide threat . It took Love till January 2005 to regain custody.
