Less than a year after Jaycee Lee Dugard was abducted, an anonymous caller from a pay phone at a nearby Oakley, California Chevron station reported to the Costa County Sheriff's Office that he saw a young blond girl staring at a missing poster of herself, authorities told The Chronicle Monday.
The caller, on April 22, 1992, reported seeing the girl board a yellow van, possible made by Dodge; police responded, but the van and caller were gone upon arrival.

These shocking photos obtained by RadarOnline.com reveal the inside of a filthy, ramshackle secret garden of sheds and pup tents hidden inside Philip Garrido’s backyard in Antioch, California. (Hey also show the inside of his main house. Jaycee, now 29, and her two children by Garrido, were forced to live in sickening squalor amid bloodstained tissues, cluttered toys and catfood, while Garrido and his wife Nancy looked on just feet away.
Jaycee was snatched by Garrido and his wife Nancy as she waited at a bus stop in South Lake Tahoe, California in 1991. The alleged sexual abuse by Garrido began almost immediately and she gave birth to two babies in the backyard prison.

Dugard was kidnapped in 1991 while she was waiting for a school bus and was hidden by the tarps which were not visible from the neighbors house despite being only a few feet away. The sheds had electricity and the secret backyard set-up included an outhouse and shower.
She had two daughters with Garrido and bore her first one at the age of 14. Neither children have ever been to school or seen a doctor despite being 11 and 15 years of age.
Garrido had a history of criminal behavior: he was on federal parole and had a rape and kidnapping conviction stemming from 1971. He and his wife Nancy were arrested shortly after a visit with his parole officer.
Dugard is being reunited with her family.

Talk about a parent’s wish come true!
In an amazing twist of fate, a woman claiming to be Jaycee Lee Dugard walked into a police station in Anticoh, Calif., on Wednesday, her step-father told ABC News.
Dugard was abducted 18 years ago at the age of 11. She was never found.
Based on conversations his wife has had with police, the FBI and the woman herself, now 29, Dugard’s stepdad Carl Probyn said the family is convinced Jaycee has finally been found.
“I had personally given up hope,” Probyn said. “I had just hoped for a recovery.” Instead, he said, “I’ve actually won the lotto.”
A press conference is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET. Until then, authorities aren’t revealing more details. They have, however, confirmed that husband and wife couple, Phillip and Nancy Garrido, are in custody in connection with the case.
Contra Costa Sheriff’s Capt. Daniel Terry says Phillip Garrido is a registered sex offender who was paroled in 1999 after serving prison time for kidnapping and forcible rape.
Court records state the Garridos are in police custody in Concord, Calif. Both are charged with kidnapping to commit rape and bail was set at $1 million.
Jaycee’s case has been open since 1991. According to the Associated Press, police who covered the area where she was taken are “99 percent sure it’s her.”
