Listing agent Bob Lindsay told RadarOnline.com that the reality-TV star’s home is currently listed for a reduced $1,095,000 and Staub refuses to give up her keys and “has not let anybody in to show it.”

“It’s on the market, we just can’t get in,” Lindsay revealed.

“Up until this point we haven’t been able to get any realtors or any buyers in. My understanding is that [she] moved out and I’m waiting to get a copy of the keys.”

Settlement talks in the defamation lawsuit against The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s most controversial resident Danielle Staub have finally ended in a financial agreement, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

“The settlement was to everyone’s satisfaction,” Maher’s attorney Thomas Rockett told RadarOnline.com of the confidential agreement which was reached on Friday. It happened late Friday."

Danielle Staub's Wayne Township, New Jersey, mansion is still on the block a year after the former The Real Housewives of New Jersey star first listed it, and RadarOnline.com has now learned it has recently had a huge price reduction and is listed as a "court ordered sale."

The man who knew Danielle Staub as a hooker in Miami - before she was famous - has claimed a drug cartel wanted the Real Housewives of New Jersey star dead after a botched drug deal.

Daniel Aguilar was questioned under oath in a marathon deposition in Diamond Bar, California last month, in association with a slander suit against the star filed by her ex-husband Kevin Maher.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s most controversial resident Danielle Staub has been embroiled in a federal defamation lawsuit filed by her ex-husband Kevin Maher for months, and it looks like it’s definitely going to trial. 

RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that all parties were in settlement negotiations Wednesday but were unable to come to a mutual agreement and the negotiations abruptly fell apart.

"The mediator Gary Donovan tried all day for a settlement and the other side jerked us around,” Maher told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

“We tried to settle this in good faith and negotiations failed. We are going to trial!”

Staub’s lawyers had filed a motion Tuesday requesting to exclude certain evidence from trial regarding Staub’s criminal history, Maher’s polygraph examinations, any references to Staub’s extra-marital sexual history, the testimony of Daniel Aguilar, and Caroline Manzo’s deposition testimony.

Staub’s attorney Peter Cook outlined 29 points in his motion requesting to prohibit certain evidence, including the following: any depictions of Staub as either a stripper, prostitute or cocaine addict by Maher; any use of video footage from The Real Housewives of New Jersey, any use of Staub’s book The Naked Truth; any and all references to her criminal history, sexual history; and any references to her past or present illegal drug use and sex tapes featuring Staub.

And when it comes to Danielle’s former reality co-stars, Cook requested the exclusion of all references to Danielle’s relationship with Dina Manzo, Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, and Danielle’s interactions at The Brownstone owned by Caroline Manzo. Also, any references made by Caroline regarding Danielle’s reputation, alleged outstanding debts, and alleged deceitful acts.

Staub is scheduled to be deposed in the case on October 5 and Maher says it may have been a motivating factor to discuss a settlement.

"I believe that October 5 would be the worst day in Danielle Staub's life, worse than her arrest,” Maher told RadarOnline.com regarding the possible reason Danielle’s lawyers and Simon and Schuster (that published her book The Naked Truth) were attempting to settle.

Although Maher is disappointed in today’s outcome, has plans to take further legal action against the Real Housewife and those affiliated with her book.

“The mediator was talking to everyone involved so this didn't have to go to court and so I could put this behind me and she could put this behind her."

“What her lawyers did today is going to get Danielle sued twice! Danielle Staub with writer Steven Prigge and Simon and Schuster will be named as defendants in an upcoming lawsuit to be filed next week.”

Calls to attorneys for Danielle Staub were not returned.

The sordid past of controversial Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub has resurfaced as her ex-husband Kevin Maher recently testified - with even more details - about Danielle's dark life when she was still known as Beverly Merrill.

Danielle and Kevin were married in October 1988, and in his recent testimony, he reveals that when they married he was still wed to another woman -- a fact Danielle was aware of. In a videotaped deposition given in May, 2010, Kevin says he and Danielle got married because otherwise she would have been imprisoned for breaking her probation terms by hanging out with him, due to the fact he was a convicted felon. He says their relationship was marked by sex, drugs, and physical violence.

The book that sparked some major drama on the Real Housewives of New Jersey is being turned into a TV show, RadarOnline.com confirmed exclusively.

While there have been internet reports that something may be in the works, RadarOnline.com spoke to the author of Cop Without A Badge to get the scoop of what to expect. “Nothing is ever a done deal until the ink is dry on the contract, but there’s such a tremendous amount of interest that I think it's as close as you can come to saying it's a done deal,” Charles Kipps said. Kipps, whose TV credits include Law & Order, is developing the show with David Black (who worked on Miami Vice) and Wendy Kram (who was an executive producer on the Katie Holmes flick Mad Money).

The book was the center of the reality show’s controversial season one finale which resulted in an angry showdown and a table getting flipped over. The women on the show used it as further evidence that castmate Danielle Staub was a negative presence with an alleged sordid past that included drugs, kidnapping and prostitution.

Though Kipps’ novel, which was written over a decade ago, enjoyed a rebirth thanks to the Bravo series, don’t expect to see any familiar faces pop up in the new show. Camoes will “probably not” happen he says.

As for Staub, who Kipps has not contacted about the show, any role she will play will be at a minimum since it will focus more on her ex-husband. “The Danielle [Staub] stuff is great, but the character of Kevin Maher [Staub’s ex-husband] is a very interesting, multi-leveled the character. The Danielle stuff in the book is only about 17 pages out of the 300-plus page book.”

Kipps found it entertaining that his words and portrayal of Staub in the book caused such a firestorm in the first place since he didn’t aim to antagonize her with his portrayal.

“If you read the book, yeah, she's a little wild in the book and she's promiscuous in the book, but as far as the other stuff you kind of get the impression that maybe she was at the wrong place at the wrong time,” he says in Staub’s defense.

“In other words, the book doesn't necessarily draw all the conclusions… she's much more of a sympathetic character in the book.  She's not necessarily sympathetic, but she’s certainly not the villain in the book that she is on the show.”

Kipps adds that if they’re successful in setting up the show with a network, a pilot would be shot early next year and considered for fall 2011. Originally, there was interest in turning the book into a film with both Universal and Paramount having optioned it as a feature in the past according to Kipps.

His new novel Hell’s Kitchen Homicide is in bookstores now and his next book Crystal Death will be out September 15.

According to a letter sent to Simon and Schuster by Maher’s attorney Thomas E. Rockett III, Maher alleges the book states he “admitted to criminal activity relative to Danielle Staub” and that he was incarcerated for a period of 18 months. Maher says that not only are these statements patently false but he has never been imprisoned or convicted of any crime relative to Staub. Maher wants the book pulled from the shelves and the world to know that Staub is a liar.

RadarOnline.com spoke exclusively to Kevin Maher who said: “How crazy is crazy?! Here is a woman who has kids that have to go to school knowing their mother is in sex tapes! This woman lies and lies.”

But attorneys for Simon and Schuster and Staub hint that Maher may be in need of a reading lesson. In a letter addressed to Maher’s attorney, the publishing giant states, “read in context, as it must be, Ms. Staub recollects that she placed an advertisement in a newspaper for 18 months, and that Mr. Maher was in jail during that period. Nowhere does the book indicate that Mr. Maher’s incarceration related to the fight or that he was incarcerated for the entire period.”

Staub is no stranger to lawsuits. Radaronline.com broke the news that Staub was being sued by her ex lover Stephen Zalewski for statements she made on the show regarding a sex tape that she claimed was made without her knowledge or consent.
