From sky high platforms to feathered headdresses, a stadium concert date is an excuse to dress even wackier than on Halloween for these singing stars.
Pint-sized Fergie uses the big stage as an excuse to add a few inches to her height in 70s style platform boots – not to mention the silver space age jumpsuit and mile-wide shoulder pads. The Black Eyed Peas singer’s shiny one-piece reminds us of Elton John strutting the around the stage in his prime, all she needs is a piano and a pair of huge sunglasses!

The new wave cult band in Devo are back with Something for Everybody, for which their fans got to choose the album’s 12 final tracks. The electro-poppers best know for the mega-hit “Whip It!” had returned with new a new single in 2007 and the promised full album has just now materialized. A slew of innovative producers worked on the album, including Teddybears, Greg Kurstin, The Dust Brothers’ John King, John Hill and Santi White (a.k.a. Santigold). "There's this new generation of kids that have grown up with Devo or know of Devo from the past, and it's not something bewildering," said Mark Mothersbaugh. "Why not let them take a shot at producing Devo, possibly the way we rearranged 'Satisfaction' by the Rolling Stones 10 years after it had been written."
The Year Of Ke$ha

How appropriate that Ke$ha’s debut album is the first big release of the year, being that 2010 is going to be a huge year for the pop’s newest party girl. With over 600,00 downloads on iTunes last week, Ke$ha’s infectious techno-tinged Tic Tok is a veritable party jam that has set the record for the biggest weekly track sales for a female artist ever!
So who exactly is this Ke$ha -- nee Kesha Sebert -- you ask? Up until now she was best-known as the female on Flo Rida’s Right Round, but she also sang back up on songs by Britney and Paris and appeared in a Katy Perry video. And now, she’s moving front and center. Tik Tok has been downloaded some 2 million times since its release in October and the new album, Animal, is out today and sure to take Ke$ha to dizzying new heights.
She’s as saucy as Katy Perry and almost as brazen as Lady GaGa. On Tik Tok, for example, she announces that guys get kicked “to the curb unless they look like Mick Jagger.”
Who did the artists pick as their fave acts of the year?
“I'm just telling stories about the stupid shit I do,” she has said. “I feel like my music stands for the ultimate statement of irreverence.”
And while she does shock by singing about things like brushing her teeth with Jack Daniels, her secret weapon isn’t her brash attitude. It’s producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald, the same guy behind Katy Perry’s I Kissed A Girl, Kelly Clarkson’s Since U Been Gone and Miley Cyrus’ Party In the U.S.A.
It’s all a recipe for success so consider yourself warned: get ready for the year of Ke$ha!
