As quickly as the new member of Lindsay Lohan’s team appeared on the scene – he’s disappeared again!

RadarOnline.com has learned that Keith Middlebrook is no longer helping Lindsay in her legal battle as she fights felony grand theft charges after allegedly stealing a necklace from a Venice Beach jewelers.

“Keith has been helpful thus far but the team feels he isn’t able to follow through in the way we had hoped,” Nathan Folks, Lindsay’s close friend and the producer of her ‘come-back’ movie Escaping The Game told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Lindsay Lohan's powerhouse criminal defense attorney Shawn Holley is blasting her client's self-appointed 'legal consultant' Keith Middlebrook in a statement to RadarOnline.com.

Middlebrook previously told RadarOnline.com, “I am not claiming to be an attorney, but I do have a huge legal team that I use for my pro athletes, who I get out of trouble.

"I have been hugely successful at doing that. I have some very powerful attorneys plus connections with the DA's office and I want to use that to help her. We work to get my clients - some of which are the biggest pro athletes on this planet - out of situations with total confidentiality."

Lindsay Lohan is facing up to 90 days behind bars if she pleads guilty to stealing a $2,500 necklace, but RadarOnline.com has new details from Keith Middlebrook who claims his hard hitting legal team will spare her from doing any time.

Keith Middlebrook -- who owns Pro Sports Capital Management -- says his highly successful group of lawyers has cleared up the legal dramas of numerous top athletes in the past and he is willing to let them do the same for Lindsay.

"I have spoken to Lindsay for well over 30 hours and she is innocent," he told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. "She checks in with me twice a day. And we will do everything we can to keep her out of
jail.

Lindsay Lohan's first post-rehab film producer and self-proclaimed "legal consultant" are stirring up new drama in the jewelry heist case, with sensational claims of "foul play" on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Nathan Folks, who has cast Lohan in his upcoming crime drama Escaping the Game, told RadarOnline.com it was he who engaged Keith Middlebrook, who is not a lawyer, to form a legal team "second to none" which supposedly has a proven track record of resolving most cases without jail time.

"Usonian Entertainment hired Keith to make sure that everything was done correctly to keep Lindsay out of jail," Folks told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.

Lindsay Lohan has a new member of her legal team, or does she? Lindsay's friend, movie producer Keith Middlebrook, is claiming to RadarOnline.com that he is her new "legal consultant strategist."

The problem?  Lindsay's super attorney Shawn Holley is very much is charge of Lindsay's case, and a source close to her tells Radar Keith "is someone Lindsay asked her to talk to, which she did for maybe five minutes. He seemed to offer nothing."

But that hasn't stopped Middlebrook from saying he "will oversee the legal team to get Ms. Lohan out of this horrible fabrication of a crime."

Middlebrook is making the same claim on his website

RadarOnline.com has checked with the California Bar Association and Middlebrook is not a member. There is no indication he is an attorney at all!

Nevertheless Middlebrook says he "guarantees that Ms. Lohan will not have any jail time." 

Other claims Middlebrook is making include his opinion that the necklace at the center of the felony theft case against Lindsay is only worth $900, that her "probation violation charges will be dropped" and that the jewelry store went after Lindsay just to get publicity.

"Lindsay is more confident than ever and she has a spring in her step after her last court hearing," Middlebrook's producing partner Nathan Folks tells RadarOnline.com.  "She is determined to get her life  back on track and put all this behind her. She is in a great place right now and she is steering clear of alcohol and drugs. We can't to get the movie going and she can't either."
