American Idol has started off with a new crop of aspiring singing sensations, but there was a familiar site this week -- just with a twist.
Idol hopeful Ty Hemmerling went on stage sporting a Speedo type “man-kini,” causing all the judges to flee the stage in fright.

Bikini Boy -- yes, he has a nickname already -- followed in the footsteps of season nine’s Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell and RadarOnline.com caught up with her to find out what she thinks about his appearance.
"Hot outfit," Bikini Girl said in the exclusive interview, but she wasn't exactly a fan, and added this zinger: "not so hot on the singing." Maybe Bikini Girl should have replaced Paula as a judge?

She's back! -- and making a splash, as always!
One of American Idol's most memorable 2009 contestants, Katrina "Bikini Girl" Darrell, looks great in a two piece, regardless of if she's flirting with Simon Cowell, trading barbs with Kara DioGuardi, or, like Tuesday, enjoying a day at the beach.
The Southern California native, flaunting a perfect figure, gave Santa Monica a treat when she showed up to the beach with a friend, the both of them wearing nothing but bikinis and high heels.

While even the two finalists in Wednesday night's American Idol finale parted friends, it turns out a feud is brewing between a former hopeful and a judge.
RadarOnline.com caught up with Katrina Darrell, aka Bikini Girl, in her hometown of Chino Hills, CA where she slammed Kara DioGuardi for ruining her performance and flaunting her pale figure.
"I think that [Kara] is a songwriter who wants to be an artist," Darrell said, "she just made herself look stupid."

Someone needs to tell Katrina Darrell it's over. She got her 15 minutes of fame as "Bikini Girl" on American Idol before being sent packing but these new pics show she's still out there trying to get attention.
Ok, she got ours! Katrina tried on bikinis yesterday at Everything But Water in Beverly Hills.
