While most people commiserate when they split, Jack White and wife Karen Elson are turning the sad occasion into a celebration.
The couple announced in a joint statement on Friday that they are commemorating their sixth wedding anniversary in a very unconventional manner - by getting divorced.

Billy Corgan is back with another Smashing Pumpkins album, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope 1: Songs for a Sailor, and says the album “harkens back to the original psychedelic roots of The Smashing Pumpkins; atmospheric, melodic, heavy, and pretty,” although he does have a new lineup for the band that includes guitarist Jeff Schroeder, drummer Mike Byrne and bassist Nicole Fiorentino. “Each song we've recorded is like its own movie,” says Corgan, who has offered up the album up for free song-by-song on the band’s website. “Hopefully when you put all 44 songs together they'll create a bigger journey that can only be seen when you have all the pieces to the map.” Of course, die-hard fans can purchase the limited edition box set, which is packaged in a silk-screened wooden box….

Cheers for Chris Brown? Yes, the Rihanna bashing pop star found himself back in the public spotlight last night at New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park - and received an unlikely rousing reception.

Always fashionable, Chris was dapper as he walked the runway in a tuxedo at the event to benefit CARE for Haiti, coordinated by supermodel Naomi Campbell.
Estelle, Kelly Osbourne, Karen Elson, Helena Christensen, Selita Ebanks, Malin Ackerman, Alan Cumming and Agyness Deyn also took to the runway.

Even Victoria Beckham donned a "Help Heal Haiti" t-shirt for the event.
"Events like this are definitely important, not necessarily for me," Brown said, back stage.
"I think it's important for Haiti because you get a chance to see artists and entertainers and fashion icons come together to do something nice for a good cause and it's not so snobby.
"t's very humbling and being able to come and help, it's nice to see."

Angelina Jolie is so larger-than-life, she makes you forget about the products she's paid to endorse: the gorgeous Oscar-winner was replaced as the face of fashion house St. John, because her presence, according to company CEO Glenn McMahon, "overshadowed the brand."
Next month, the new, Angie-less ads launch in Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, showcasing stunning redhead Karen Elson, instead.
