"This is just the latest installment in K2 Production’s ongoing smear campaign against Carrie Prejean. They have proven, once again, that they will use whatever scurrilous accusations they can dredge up – or invent – to try and tarnish Carrie’s reputation and her good name. It is both appalling and pathetic to see K2 and their friends in Hollywood try to destroy this young woman simply for standing up for her beliefs."

It is the beauty battle that still has legs one year later. The Miss California Pageant has filed suit against former beauty queen Carrie Prejean, alleging she never paid them back for her surgery and tried to get the pageant director fired.

"In January, 2009, Ms. Prejean and K2 Productions entered into an oral agreement whereby K2 Productions agreed to loan Ms. Prejean money to pay for breast augmentation surgery so that she (in her opinion) would be more competitive at the Miss USA 2009 pageant. Ms. Prejean agreed that she would repay the loan, and proceeded to have her desired breast augmentation surgery. The idea for Ms. Prejean to have the breast augmentation surgery came from Ms. Prejean herself, not from K2 Productions or the Miss Universe Organization," the papers said.

The papers also state that on June 4, 2009, Prejean e-mailed Miss Universe Organization President Paula Shugart in support of two of the show's producers taking over the organization. "And to add insult to injury, Ms. Prejean said her recommendation was 'Just from me to you' - obviously because she was not telling Mr. Lewis that she was seeking to have K2 Productions replaced as the Miss California USA franchise holder," the papers added.
