Kenneth Turan thought watching it was "something of a chore", but fans lined up in droves. Despicable Me brought in an astounding $60.1 million at the box office this weekend, exceeding expectations by at least $20 million.
Steve Carell, going into his last season in The Office, is the lead voice in the animated 3-D Despicable Me.

Good-natured, goofy and utterly fun, Despicable Me is the summer’s latest 3-D animated ode to joy. The film stars Steve Carell as the voice of the villainous Gru, who devises a plot to be the greatest bad-guy the world has ever seen. His plans -- and his evil rep -- are threatened, however, when the little orphans he uses for his nefarious agenda giggle their way into his cold, wart-covered heart.

All of the hottest Hollywood starlets congregated on Monday night, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills for the 16th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute Sponsored by ELLE magazine, and there wasn't a fashion disaster in sight!
All of our favorite females looked stylish and smashing, redefining their own personal style in unique ensembles. Mrs. Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, broke away from her usually conservative wear, showing off a black bra under an ultra sheer top! Iconic actress Julie Andrews, stunned in a floor length black gown, while newcomer Jenna Dewan continued her fashion winning streak in shades of gray.
