Three days after the defense rested in the murder trial of Jennifer Hudson's family, the jury announced a guilty verdict on Friday afternoon in Chicago, RadarOnline.com is reporting.
William Balfour was on trial for the 2008 murder of Jennifer's mother Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57; her brother Jason Hudson, 29; and nephew Julian King, 7.

After two weeks of harrowing and often shocking testimony, the defense rested their case Tuesday in the triple murder trial of William Balfour, the man accused of killing Jennifer Hudson’s family.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Balfour faces three counts of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and home invasion in the deaths of Jennifer’s mother Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57; brother Jason Hudson, 29; and nephew Julian King, 7, in October 2008.

The man accused of killing Jennifer Hudson’s family was far from discreet in the months leading up to the murders, and even allegedly spilled his deadly desires to a 13-year-old stranger in a park.
The Chicago courtroom heard on Tuesday how William Balfour randomly approached teenager Maria Wilkes in the South Side park in the summer of 2008 and began pouring his heart out to her about his crumbling marriage and how he suspected wife, Julia Hudson, was cheating on him.

Before he allegedly gunned down Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew, William Balfour was cheating on her sister, according to a witness who testified in his triple murder trial on Thursday.
Diana Grant told the Chicago courtroom that she met the defendant in 2007 through friends, she found out Balfour was married to Julia Hudson a few months later but says she was already in love with him and they continued to date, reported the Chicago Tribune.

The trial of the man accused of murdering Jennifer Hudson’s family took a surprising twist when the defense suggested that the Oscar winner’s brother was a big time drug dealer.
Assistant Public Defender Amy Thompson argued that it was not suspect William Balfour who killed Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew, and even went as far as suggesting an alternative suspect whom she claimed assisted Jason Hudson in his alleged illegal drug business, reported the Chicago Sun Times.

After numerous dismissals due to the high profile nature of the case, the final jury members have now been seated in the murder trial for the man who allegedly killed Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew.
The jury of 12 people and six alternatives, which include an acrobat and a retired Chicago Transit Authority dispatcher whose son is a shooting victim, were seated on Tuesday to allow the trial of William Balfour to begin, reported the Chicago Sun Times.

The man suspected of killing Jennifer Hudson’s family appeared in a Chicago court on Thursday to face the potential jurors in his murder trial, and those being considered to decide his fate gasped when they realized that they were involved in the high-profile celebrity murder case.
The presence of William Balfour, who is accused of slaying the Dreamgirls star’s mother, brother and nephew more than three years ago, caused 20 people to stand up and leave the courtroom when Judge Charles Burns asked if anyone would be unable to decide the case without “sympathy, bias or prejudice,” reported the Chicago Tribune.
