Wikileaks founder Julian Assange can indeed be extradited to Sweden, where two women have accused him of rape and sexual molestation, Judge Howard Riddle ruled Thursday in a hearing in London, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Riddle said the warrant issued toward Assange by Swedish officials was properly issued, saying "there is simply no reason to believe there has been a mistake."

Assange's attorneys in the UK have argued their client could not get a fair trial under the circumstances there, as he'd have to testify in a hearing not open to the public, because of Swedish laws involving rape trials.

Julian Assange's attorneys argued he should not be extradited to Sweden because he could not get a fair trial under the circumstances there, during Monday's hearing for the WikiLeaks founder at London's Belmarsh Magistrates' Court, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Assange was front in center in the court, clad in a blue suit and red tie, for the hearing to determine whether he’d be extradited to Sweden, where two women have accused him of sexual misconduct.

Assange lawyer Geoffrey Robertson argued that his client's extradition to Sweden would be "a flagrant denial of justice... blatantly unfair, not only by British standards but by European standards and indeed by international standards.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange promised his controversial website will continue churning out top-secret documents, while speaking to reporters outside London's Belmarsh Magistrates' Court after a brief extradition hearing Tuesday, RadarOnline.com has learned.

"We are stepping up our publishing for matters related to Cablegate and other materials," Assange said. "Those will shortly be occurring through our newspaper partners around the world -- big and small newspapers, and some human rights organizations."

Cablegate refers to WikiLeaks' late-November 2010 release of U.S. diplomatic cables (confidential messages between diplomats and their governments) online.

"I don't want to write this book, but I have to," he told the London Sunday Times. "I have already spent 200,000 pounds [$380,000] for legal costs and I need to defend myself and to keep WikiLeaks afloat."

Assange will be published in the U.S. by Alfred A. Knopf, which put up $800,000 of the advance.

The Australian has been accused of sexual assault against two women in Sweden.  He was arrested in London and held until his attorney was able to arrange bail and an appropriate residence for his house arrest.

Since his release from jail on December 16, Assange has been staying a friend's country mansion in eastern England.

A London court is scheduled to hold a hearing on the Swedish extradition request beginning February 7.

Despite protests from English and Swedish authorities, Julian Assange was granted bail on Thursday by a British high court judge, who said he didn't believe the controversial founder of WikiLeaks was a flight risk, RadarOnline.com has learned. 

Assange was still in custody early Thursday as his legal team and supporters worked to collect the 240,000 pounds ($380,000) needed to spring him.

UPDATE: A British judge has granted Assange bail however at this time he remains behind bars.

WikiLeaks' controversial founder Julian Assange could be a free man Thursday -- if a British high court judge decides to grant bail for the jailed Australian native, despite protests from English and Sweden authorities.

"We are hopeful, but of course, it is a matter entirely for the judge," Assange's British lawyer, Mark Stephens, told reporters Thursday outside of London's High Court.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Assange, 39, has been in custody since December 7 after he surrendered to Scotland Yard police in London over an arrest warrant in Sweden, where two women have accused him of rape, molestation and unlawful coercion.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has been named Time's Person of the Year for 2010.

At 26, the billionaire becomes the second youngest person in the magazine's history. (Only Charles Lindbergh was younger.)

Time's editor Richard Stengel made the announcement Wednesday morning on The Today Show and said: "He's very affable. He's very in-the-moment. He's very quick-witted."

The controversial Australian was taken into custody last week at a London prison after surrendering to Scotland Yard police in connection with a sex-crime investigation in Sweden.

The 39-year-old’s mother flew out to London while her son was in jail and according to Reuters.com had a phone conversation with him just hours before his bail hearing.
