Joran van der Sloot is desperate to get back home to the comforts of Castro Castro prison and he is not afraid to pay Peruvian officials in order to get there, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

The convicted killer is currently serving 28 years in the maximum security Piedras Gordas facility for the May 2010 murder of student Stephany Flores, but he is determined not to be there for long, according to an insider.

Joran van der Sloot has never shown any remorse for the murder of Stephany Flores, and now RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that the cold-hearted killer is still feeling sorry for himself, not the family of the deceased 21-year-old Peruvian student.

Currently wallowing in a maximum security prison in northern Lima serving 28 years after he pleaded guilty to the May 2010 killing, van der Sloot has been complaining about his pitiful state of mind despite confessing to the brutal crime.

It's less than a month since Joran van der Sloot was sentenced to 28 years for the murder of Stephany Flores, but the cold-hearted killer is hoping to be a free man in less than five years, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

"He is appealing his sentence and hopes he gets parole in less than five years," an insider exclusively revealed to RadarOnline.com.

If van der Sloot's prediction comes true, it will mean he is a free man by 2017 and will serve a fraction of the sentence that was handed to him on January 13 after he confessed to the May 2010 killing of the 21-year-old Peruvian student.

Just a week after he pleaded guilty to the murder of Stephany Flores, convicted killer Joran van der Sloot is appealing his 28-year prison sentence, according to his Peruvian lawyer.

Attorney Jose Luis Jimenez claims that the three judges who sentenced van der Sloot on January 13 did not take into account his prior confession to the May 2010 murder of the 21-year-old Peruvian student, reported USAToday.com.

The appeal was reportedly made last week and comes in light of RadarOnline.com's exclusive report that Jimenez claims the 24-year-old Dutchman is upset with him for returning almost $75,000 that Florida woman, Joran’s “guardian angel” Mary Hamer sent him for "bail."

As Joran van der Sloot faces 28 years in prison for murder, the woman who has been paying his legal bills is fighting a battle of her own as she embarks in a bitter stand-off with the convicted killer's lawyer, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

Mary Hamer, who has described herself as van der Sloot's "guardian angel," claims that his Pervuian attorney Jose Luis Jimenez has swindled $75,000 from her that he said was going towards the Dutchman's bail.

When contacted for comment, Jimenez insisted the matter was merely a misunderstanding, and that he has returned the money (minus fees) back to Hamer — however, as of posting she claims to still have not received a penny.
