As promised, Sandra Bullock is looking to get back to work and is considering a film with Tom Hanks.

A rep for the actress confirmed that she wants to film the big-screen adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer's post-9/11 novel Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. According to E!, Hanks' part is "very small" and is more like a special appearance rather than a costarring role.

Hip-hop icon Russell Simmons and author Jonathan Safran Foer will be the many in attendance at Celebration FOR the Turkeys, a Big Apple Thanksgiving benefit for Farm Sanctuary, America's top farm animal protection organization.
Celebration FOR the Turkeys will be highlighted by a family-style, all-vegan Thanksgiving brunch, a silent auction to benefit the sanctuary’s rescued animals, and a reading by Safran Foer from his new book, Eating Animals.
Celebration FOR the Turkeys will be held Nov. 22 from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. at New York's iconic Tavern on the Green, located at Central Park at West 67th Street. Admission is open to the public and costs $150 per person.
