Dina Shacknai, the mother of six-year-old Max Shacknai who tragically died last summer at his father's Coronado mansion, is suing the San Diego Medical Examiner's office to obtain his autopsy photos because she doesn't believe that he died by falling and hitting his head, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

As we previously reported, Rebecca Zahau, the girlfriend of Dina Shacknai's ex-husband Jonah Shacknai, killed herself just days after Max's fatal accident. Zahau's death was ruled a suicide after her naked body was found hanged with her hands and feet bound at The Spreckles mansion on July 13. Rebecca's family vehemently disagrees with the San Diego Sheriff's Department's determination that she killed herself.

Zahau's body was exhumed and flown to Pittsburgh for the procedure performed by famed pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht.

"I have some questions which I shall keep in mind," said Wecht. "But I want to make it clear that I'm not undertaking this with preconceived conclusions."

Zahau was found dead just days after her boyfriend's six-year-old son, Max, took a devastating fall while under her care.

Officials claim she committed suicide because she was so grief stricken about Max.  She'd learned he was not expected to survive just hours before her own lifeless body was found. Max died two days later.

Her family has never accepted that she took her own life. They've appealed to Dr. Phil to help get the case reopened. The results of this new autopsy will be revealed on an episode of his show next month.
