Nicole Richie & Joel Madden To Host Vegas New Year's Eve Bash

Fresh out of the hospital where she was treated for pneumona, Nicole Richie has announced she'll be hosting a New Year's Eve party at LAVO nightclub. Her sidekick for the night will be her baby daddy Joel Madden at the DJ table. Last month the pair was busy building a playground for deserving kids.

Nicole has been largely absent from the club scene since getting together with Joel and becoming a mom but these Vegas hosting jobs come with very nice pay checks.
Nicole spent several days in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center being treated for pneumonia following a stressful few weeks that included an auto accident with photographers and then requesting and getting a restraining order against two shooters.

Nicole Richie is back home and doing well according to her boyfriend Joel Madden.
Madden posted on his band's website "So I stepped off the plane after a month out of the country, and basically Went straight to the hospital for the week. But don't worry all is well and We are home with no problems."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Nicole Richie was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Wednesday for pneumonia.

It's been a stressful few months for Nicole. She gave birth to her second child, son Sparrow, on September 11th, was involved in a car accident with two over zealous paparazzi, went to court to request a restraining order and has been working hard on her jewelry line House Of Harlow.

Nicole Richie arrived at court Monday, flanked by Joel Madden and her powerhouse attorney Mark Geragos, to apply for a permanent restraining order against two LA based paparazzi.

Richie has a temporary order in place against the two snappers, Eduardo Cerri Arrivabene and Ivon Emilio Melo Miguel, but is applying for a permanent order of protection.

Judge Carol Boas Goodson said, "the court is extremely concerned about future accidents." She also said that she would be weighing the pros and cons of celebrity.
Richie took the stand, despite Gregaros telling the court his client is "ill and not feeling well."

Richie, sounding like she is fighting a cold, stated that she was driving her car, a 2008 Range Rover, on Oct. 5th, the day of the accident. She stated that the photographers had been following her. Richie said she was headed east on Wilshire going to a business meeting, with three cars following her. She stated she was at a stop when she was rear ended.
Richie testified that both respondents came 30 ft onto her property. She stated that her kids weren't in her car on the day of the accident, but that she "was hysterically crying, lucky my mom was there."
Richie Crash Pap Arrested
Joel Madden took the stand and testified that Nicole was "hysterical" when she called him following the accident. Madden said the photographers were driving erratically, he said Richie was in distress 24/7, and she is with the kids.
Judge Goodson granted Richie's request, ordering the two paps to stay 50 yards away from Richie, her vehicle, the children, or any car they are in.
The order will stay in effect until November 16th 2012.

In court Monday Nicole Richie's attorney Mark Gregaros referred to Joel Madden as his client's "husband".
Adding fuel to the marriage rumors fire a member of Richie's legal team told RadarOnline.com that she believed the couple are legally hitched.

But then outside court, on the record, Gregaros denied Richie and Madden are married.

As RadarOnline.com was the first to report Hollywood has been buzzing with speculation that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have gotten married in a hush hush ceremony.
And Nicole is doing nothing to dispel the rumors, appearing at the park Sunday with daughter Harlow sporting what appears to be a wedding band on her ring finger according to X17 Online.
