Things are looking up for Lindsay Lohan. She just landed a job as "artistic director" for the top design house Emanuel Ungaro, and now, according to her father Michael Lohan she's working out the unfortunate debacle involving $2 Million in missing jewels from the Beverly Hills store XIV Karats.
"I went over to the store myself and I spoke to the owner who told me that they were working it out with her," Michael told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "It seemed like everything was alright when they said that. They're dealing with Lindsay and the insurance company as well as the police."
Lohan, who said he's also been working with detectives, told RadarOnline.com that while he's proud of Lindsay's new job at Ungaro, he believes her true calling is still acting.
"She has a lot of things to straighten out," he said. "Her primary thing is acting, but until she gets things in order, you know it's just one thing after another with her but yes, I am very proud of her."
One of the things getting in the way may be Lindsay's constant personal drama. Early Thursday morning the actress took to her Twitter page where she ranted about girlfriend Samantha Ronson:
"Can you make an attempt to not ruin ANYTHING positive that I have FINALLY deserved just to cry myself to sleep with your cheats, errors. You JUST told me that your friends are worth more than I am to your family and friends & that I'm gross. Thx."

Lindsay had the jewels on loan from swanky Beverly Hills store, XIV Karats, from over two months ago but when asked to return the pricy baubles the Mean Girls star fessed up that she didn't have them.
"Lindsay claimed that they had been stolen from her safe," a source tells RadarOnline.com "They've disappeared. XIV are not happy about it.

"The jewels were in Lindsay's care and they were only on a loaner, they were expected to be returned. If something is not resolved soon there will be legal action taken."
Lindsay's rep denies the story, but Lindsay's dad, Michael Lohan, tells RadarOnline.com, "Lindsay didn't take anything from them. They lent her jewelry and she has to give it back to them. That's all I know. She has no intention of keeping any of it. So I guess they're sorting it out."

Lindsay Lohan wastes little time when it comes to luxury: the Mean Girls star was snapped Monday at West Hollywood, California jeweler Roseark, browsing for some new bling after burglars stole a safe, jewels, bags and shoes from her Hollywood Hills home on Sunday morning.
The talented actress -- clad in a Shock Value print shirt, short shorts and white Christian Louboutin Miss Fred unisex soles -- seems to be heading down the fashion career path as of late, standing in as a recent guest judge on Project Runway, while hawking her own brand of tan-in-a-can on her Web site, www.sevinnyne.com.
