President Barack Obama is heading to star-studded Hollywood this week to try and rally the super-rich ahead of next year’s general election.
Although Orange County Republican Marilyn Davenport likened him to a chimpanzee and California’s most infamous imprisoned serial killer Charles Manson called him “an idiot” the President is not ready to turn his back on the Golden State quite yet.

The Hollywood power couple hit the Staples Center on Friday night and sat court-side to watch the LA Lakers beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, 104-96.

At half-time, Tom led Katie by the hand into the members only Wachovia Chairman's Room where they sat at a back corner table and each sipped on a bottle of flat water.
Mega producer Jeffrey Katzenberg, the CEO of DreamWorks Animation, stopped at the table to say hello.
"But TomKat looked like they wanted to be left alone," said a guest, who was at the private bar.
"Tom had his arm around Katie but she looked kind of uncomfortable, like she didn't want really want to be there."

Maybe it was because Tom's ex-squeeze Penelope Cruz was only a few feet away?
The Spanish beauty, who dated Tom for three years, was at the game with her brother Eduardo Cruz and didn't seem to even notice that Tom was there.

"They were laughing and talking with each other and their friends," added our spy.
"Penelope was eating some of the peanuts they put out for everyone.
"She looked totally comfortable."
Also in the room was Leonardo DiCaprio - who as usual, had his cap pulled low - and as usual, was surrounded by his own team - of flirtatious women.
"He was in the corner by the bar drinking whiskey," we're told.
"He was leaning against the wall trying his best to go unnoticed but it was pointless.
"The girls all had their eyes on him, they were all ready to pounce but he wouldn't give anyone the time of day."

And to close out a start studded night, after the final siren, Kobe Bryant even got in on the all action.
He walked over to Cruise to give him a court side high-five!

Brendan Fraser took home a top award at the first ever International 3D Society’s Lumiere Awards Tuesday night at Hollywood’s Mann Chinese Theater.
Not only did Brendan star in Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D, he also executive produced it, that’s why he was given the “3D Talent Award.”
Unlike most A-list stars who breeze in and out of awards shows just long enough to pick up a trophy, Brendan stayed for the after party until late Tuesday night.
