On Friday, the 30 Rock star met with The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) officials along with homeless gay teens from New York's Ali Forney Center.

"Today, Tracy saw firsthand the toll that homophobia and anti-gay violence can take on a person's life," GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios said in a statement released by the group. "By meeting with LGBT teens left homeless because of who they are, we hope that Tracy has come to understand that so-called 'jokes' about gay youth are not just irresponsible, they are damaging."

Repentant comedian, Tracy Morgan is continuing in his attempt to make amends for his shocking homophobic rant on Friday during a comedy routine in Nashville, TN.

The 30 Rock star spoke with GLAAD on Monday to announce several steps he will be taking to redeem himself, and also confessed that he was a victim of bullying himself as a child.

"I know how bad bullying can hurt,” Morgan said. “I was bullied when I was a kid. I'm sorry for what I said. I didn't mean it. I never want to use my comedy to hurt anyone. My family knew what it was like to feel different. My brother was disabled and I lost my father to AIDS in 1987.

Tracy Morgan apologized Friday for his “not funny” anti-gay rant at a comedy show but a prominent gay rights organization has said they expect him to do more.

GLAAD: The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation President Jarrett Barrios said "Tracy Morgan must not only apologize, but assure us that this won't happen again and send a clear message to Americans that anti-gay violence is no joke."
