Kiefer Sutherland Headbutt Incident Dismissed

Actor Kiefer Sutherland won't get a slap on the wrist for slamming his head into someone's face.
The New York City District Attorney has dumped potential criminal charges against the actor, stemming from an incident in May with Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough.
The case doesn't remotely qualify as criminal conduct, reports say. And on the same note--Los Angeles city attorney's are said to feel the same way (as the infraction could've affected his probation stemming from a prior DUI conviction, despite happening across the country).
Sutherland attended an afterparty for Anna Wintour's annual Met Gala in May, where he allegedly saw McCollough bump into actress Brooke Shields, causing her to fall. Sutherland is said to have confronted the designer, then head-butted him.

Given his character Jack Bauer's penchant for getting out of sticky situations, it's no surprise that Kiefer Sutherland may be in the clear.
The actor has apparently settled the curious case of head-butting Jack McCollough, one half of the design team Proenza Schouler in early May.
Reports say the actor has made good with the designer after allegedly attacking him at a party following the Met Gala in New York City.
If McCollough doesn't pursue litigation, this could mean Sutherland will be cleared of the assault charge currently outstanding in NYC. The actor is currently serving probation stemming from a 2007 DUI.
Appearing Thursday evening on Jimmy Fallon's late night talk show, Sutherland said the incident was one "I really regret having happened."

LA City Attorney Looking At Kiefer Case -- No Immediate Action Expected

Kiefer Sutherland's alleged headbutting incident last week has drawn the attention from the Los Angeles City Attorney, and they have reached out to the NYPD, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.
That does not, however, necessarily spell bad news for Kiefer, who is on probation in California. A source close to the case told RadarOnline.com, "The City Attorney won't do anything until all the facts are in from the NYPD. The City Attorney will wait until the NYPD concludes their investigation, and if Kiefer is actually charged with a crime. "Reports are still being taken, witnesses still being interviewed. Kiefer was only issued a desk ticket from the NYPD. That is it."
Kiefer got some help today from Brooke Shields when she issued a statement stating that the alleged victim of Kiefer's headbutt, Jack McCollough did indeed bump into her and Kiefer became concerned. She says that Kiefer has always been a perfect gentleman around her.

The morning after allegedly getting headbutted by Kiefer Sutherland, Proenza Schouler founder Jack McCollough emerged with a small cut on his nose. But on Friday, McCollough surfaced again with a sizeable bandage after reports were released that his nose was broken.
RadarOnline.com contacted his rep to figure out how one small cut turned into a broken nose and corresponding large bandage in the span of a few days.
"Mr. McCollough sought medical treatment last night and was told that he has three fractures in his nose, it was reset and he now has a cast on his nose," the rep explained.
When contacted by RadarOnline.com, the NYPD confirmed they were in possession of McCollough's medical records. However, since the records are considered evidence, they would not be released.
EXCLUSIVE: New Details Surrounding Kiefer Sutherland's Arrest

Kiefer Sutherland left his Manhattan apartment late Thursday afternoon to turn himself into police. After arriving at the first precinct in New York City, the actor was then arrested, fingerprinted, photographed, and then charged with a misdemeanor before being released after two hours. Now, RadarOnline.com has new details regarding his time at the police station.
Dressed in blue jeans, a blue Oxford button-down shirt, and an overcoat, the actor arrived with his lawyer. "While the third-degree misdemeanor assault charge is minor, Kiefer still had to go through a booking process inside the precinct house. That's why he was in there for two hours. He was questioned first and then the booking took place," a NYPD source told RadarOnline.com. "While one celebrity website reported that Kiefer was placed in handcuffs inside the precinct, he was not! He was, however, frisked – which is a routine check for weapons, and as stated earlier, he was fingerprinted and had a mugshot taken."
"The fingerprints are sent into the computer system, up to Albany, to make sure there's no match on any outstanding warrants. Obviously, they didn't expect there to be any matches but the NYPD has to do this and treat him as they would any other person."
On Monday evening, Sutherland allegedly headbutted fashion designer Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler at an after party at Submercer. Though many believe Sutherland will only face minor assault charges for the scuffle, Los Angeles authorities may take a tougher stance since he is currently serving a five-year probation term for his second DUI conviction.
The source added, “a date’s been set for his next appearance in June on the matter.”

Sutherland reportedly flew into a rage after Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough knocked into actress Brooke Shields at the Met Costume Institute Gala.
Sutherland is said to have confronted the catwalk mogul and told him to apologize to the star. He is then alleged to have head-butted McCollough in the face, injuring his nose.
Kiefer's problems don't stop in New York... A rep from the L.A. City Attorney's office tells RadarOnline.com they will contact the NYPD and the D.A. and then decide if they will move to revoke Sutherland's probation. He's currently on probation for a DUI.
