Man Arrested For Being Under The Influence With Parrot And Zebra In His Truck

It reads like the start of a very bad pun… a man walks into a bar with a zebra and a parrot … but the incident was far from a laughing matter for all those involved!
Jerald Reiter, 55, was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence, after police were called to a bar and discovered the inebriated Iowa man, his girlfriend and the two animals stuffed inside his truck and trying to exit the parking lot.
Both Reiter and his girlfriend, Vickey Teeters, deny any wrongdoing, insisting the 55-year-old had no intention of driving his "family" home.
"He was standing outside of his vehicle," Teeters insisted to KCRG.com. "He was getting ready to switch drivers."

Presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann, who is becoming as famous for her on-air gaffes as she is her Christian right-wing views, made another major faux pas Monday.

Debra Danielson, the mother of MTV's Teen Mom Farrah Abraham, cut a deal in the domestic assault case regarding an incident during which she allegedly choked her daughter. However, her lawyer tells RadarOnline.com that Danielson maintains her innocence, even placing blame on Farrah's shoulders.

“Debra said to me, "I don’t believe I’m guilty but in the event that the fact finder chooses to believe state's evidence rather than me, I’ll enter an Alford plea,’" Danielson's lawyer Michael J. Winter told RadarOnline.com. An Alford plea is a guilty plea in criminal court where the defendant does not admit the act and asserts innocence.

Winter said Danielson has to complete anger counseling "with a counselor of her choosing until it is decided that she has had adequate treatment."
Danielson believes her daughter should do the same.
"Debra said she feels the anger counseling would make more sense going to her daughter, but agreed to go along with it rather than put her family through any more grief."

Debra was arrested on January 16th after the altercation at their home in Council Bluffs, Iowa. According to the incident report filed with the Council Bluffs Police Department, the two were arguing in the kitchen "over child care issues as well as other problems" when Danielson threw an MTV t-shirt at her daughter which ended up landing near or on her grandchild who subsequently woke up crying. From there, things escalated.
"The victim was yelling at Danielson over the shirt throwing and Danielson grabbed her by the throat. The victim pushed Danielson's hand away from her. Victim stated the Danielson then hit her along the side of her head and hit her in the mouth," read the police report.

MTV mom Debra Danielson was officially charged Wednesday with domestic assault for allegedly attacking her daughter, fellow MTV star Farrah Abraham last Saturday, during an argument at their home in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Danielson appeared in court in Cedar Rapids, Iowa earlier Wednesday, and while she was expected to enter a plea to the charge, she did not.

MTV mom Debra Danielson, who was arrested after allegedly attacking her daughter, fellow MTV star Farrah Abraham last Saturday, will be arraigned Wednesday, January 20 at 9:30 a.m. MST in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. At that time, she is expected to enter a plea to the charges filed against her.
Farrah Abraham is one of the teenage subjects of the MTV documentary reality series Teen Mom.
