An autopsy is scheduled Monday for Dan Wheldon, the two-time Indianapolis 500 winner who died in a crash Sunday at 33, during a race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday.

Wheldon was killed after his car, headed into a 15-car pileup, careened into mid-air and smashed into a catch fence and caught fire.

The English race car driver was airlifted to University Medical Center; IndyCar CEO Randy Bernard announced his death about two hours later.

Dan Wheldon took the checkered flag at the Indy 500 Sunday in a car sponsored by William Rast clothing -- that's the company owned by Justin Timberlake and his best friend Trace Ayala.

"What a Memorial Day weekend!  The William Rast car just won the Indy 500!!!!" Timberlake tweeted.

"Congrats to Dan Wheldon, the WR racing team and everyone else who put in the hard work for victory!  unreal!"

Tweeted an equally-excited Ayala, "We won!!!!!!!!"

This is the fourth year William Rast has played a sponsorship role at Indy, and the second consecutive year with Bryan Herta Autosport, the owner of the car Wheldon drove.

The sponsorship was a tie-in to the launch of William Rast eyewear.
