The death toll from the Indiana State Fair stage collapse grew to seven Monday afternoon, when 24-year-old Cincinnati cheerleading coach Meagan Toothman was removed from life support, by her family’s request, for the purpose of organ donation, authorities said.
Toothman suffered injuries to her brain in the August 13 calamity, and had been in a medically-induced coma since August 15. She was taken off life support at Indianapolis’ Methodist Hospital Monday at around 3:30 pm CT.

The death toll from last week's Indiana State Fair grew to six Friday morning when Jennifer Haskell, a 22-year-old Ball State University student, died at an Indianapolis hospital, according to her uncle Mike Whited.
Haskell, who was majoring in sports medicine, suffered what would turn out to be fatal injuries when high winds of 60-70 mph caused a stage to collapse, killing six people and injuring more than 45 others.

Sugarland performed at Albuquerque, New Mexico’s Hard Rock Pavilion Thursday night – it was the duo’s first performance since high winds caused a stage to collapse at the Indiana State Fair, killing five people and injuring more than 45 others.
Taking the stage, the country duo of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush called for a moment of silence for the injured "and the beautiful lives that were lost."

The Indiana State Fair reopened Monday with a public memorial service for the five people killed Saturday night after high winds caused a concert stage to collapse.
After a prayer to launch the service, Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman praised concertgoers who "set aside their personal concerns and moved toward the accident and not away."
Skillman said the best in people "is, and will continue, to be the silver lining in times of disaster."

The Indiana State Fair re-opens Monday with a public memorial service for the five people killed Saturday night, after high winds of 60 to 70 mph caused a concert stage to collapse, with an estimated 12,000 people in attendance to see the country music duo Sugarland perform.
More than 40 people were hospitalized after the disaster, authorities said.
