Susan Boyle's debut album, I Dreamed a Dream, has blown apart recording industry sales records at a Michael Phelps pace.

Susan Boyle: A Dream Comes True

I Dreamed A Dream's hit parade, so far: the only 2009 release to hold the top spot for six weeks in a row; the largest CD pre-order in the history of the Amazon.com; the most album pre-sales for QVC and Barnes & Noble Online and debut for a female artist on the Billboard 200 in the Soundscan. Boyle also holds the distinction of being the first artist in the Billboard 200's 53-year history to enter the list at the top spot with a debut album and spend six consecutive weeks at the summit.

Boyle went from the anonymity of a small Scottish village to having one of the most recognizable faces and voices in the world, after her breakout debut on Britain’s Got Talent racked up more than 300 million YouTube views, the most for any video last year.

VIDEO: Susan Boyle Gushes Over Donnie Osmond

Susan Boyle, the Britain's Got Talent sensation whose rendition of I Dreamed A Dream gained her worldwide fame, was giddy after seeing a taped message aired on Thursday’s Today Show from one of her childhood idols: Donnie Osmond.

The grown-up teen idol, still boyishly handsome at 51, praised the Scottish spinster and wished her good luck amidst the backdrop of his Las Vegas show. He then even predicted they would do a duet together, possibly of his hit, Puppy Love.  He even joked that Boyle could replace his sister, Marie, in their Vegas act.

The blushing Boyle said she would love to collaborate with Osmond -- we think it would be a great career move for one of them, but we're not saying which one.

A beautifully made-over Susan Boyle told NBC News’ Meredith Vieira that her stint in a London mental health clinic was tied to extreme fatigue.

The singer, in the interview on Wednesday’s Today Show, looked quite different than the lovable introvert that waddled out on the stage last spring: her new hairstyle is short and brown; her once-bushy eyebrows have been streamlined to a more subtle, feminine form.

Susan Boyle, who looked as if she was on the edge of madness as the pressure stemming from Britain's Got Talent competition built, is improving by leaps and bound.

"I want to take on the world," the 48-year-old Scottish spinster told News Of The World. "I've got my sleeves up ready."

Released from the London mental health clinic last week after a string of bizarre public meltdowns and crushing loss to an obscure dance troupe, Boyle is expected to record her debut album in London this week.
