Former TV idol star Kirk Cameron has angered the gay community by making outrageously homophobic comments on CNN.

The Growing Pains actor told Piers Morgan that he does not support gay marriage and believes homosexuality is wrong.

“I think that it's - it's - it's unnatural. I think that it's - it's detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization,” he said about homosexuality.

Outspoken actor David Arquette took to the streets to stand up to anti-gay protesters, and RadarOnline.com has the video footage.

While in Indianapolis, Indiana, over the weekend for the Super Bowl, David encountered a mass of haters on the street (thought to be from the controversial Westboro Baptist Church) holding signs slapped with gay slurs and derogatory phrases and pictures.

Bristol Palin landed herself in hot water after a heated exchange with a heckler in a Hollywood bar recently, but her team have jumped to her defense after her actions were branded homophobic.

The reality TV star got into a spat with a man at the Saddle Ranch on September 22 when he launched an attack on her famous mother, Sarah Palin.

But her retort: "Why do you hate my mom? Is it because you're a homosexual?" has caused controversy.

However her rep told E! "She was approached in a confrontational and inappropriate manner when two men aggressively shouted expletives aimed at her in reference to her mother.

"Bristol responded to the unprovoked verbal assault by calmly standing her ground and defending her family. The situation ended with no incident, and accusing her of homophobia is completely unfounded and totally misstates her views."

"This quote is far too offensive to be excused as comedy and it is very hurtful to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families," says Peter Berns, CEO of The Arc. "Mr. Morgan has an incredibly powerful platform from which to fix this, and if he's learned anything in the last few weeks, he can't bomb this apology."
