Stars dazzled at the 2010 Emmy Awards on Sunday night, walking the red carpet in gorgeous gowns hot off the runway.  With labor day right around the corner, most stars stepped out in Fall friendly trends, which consisted of darkly hued and sparkling gowns, while other stayed with the summer season, wearing pastel purple frocks and bright white, embellished gowns.

There was no shortage of leggy ladies strutting their stuff in stellar style.  While Heidi Klum rocked her supermodel stems in a Marchesa micro mini, January Jones and Anna Paquin rocked avant-garde frocks, which were dramatically shorter in the front than the back.

Lea Michele, January Jones and Eva Longoria Parker went all the way with attention-grabbing glamour, showing off their fearless fashion sense in big and full-bodied gowns, which screamed leading lady!

Stars sparkled in sequins and beaded embellishment, but they did so in subtle style.  Claire Danes, Connie Britton and Jennifer Carpenter all lit up the red carpet in shimmer and shine, without going over the top.

And while bright color didn’t have its place at the television awards show, we definitely saw a lot of pastel-hued looks, as well as deep and dramatic fall colors.  Emily Blunt, Christina Hendricks and Amy Poehler all opted for pale purples, while Lea Michele and Jayma Mays stunned in midnight blue.
