Melrose Place veteran Heather Locklear will be swinging by her old digs on Tuesday night, as she resurrects her role! For those of you too young to remember, Heather was the original cat fighting queen, Amanda Woodward, who was always the best dressed and most feared of the apartment complex residents.
She can't make a grand entrance without a glam wardrobe! Expect Heather to be suited in high Melrose fashion during the next few episodes, as she whips the new cast into shape.

The end of 2009 has been a tough one for the Simpson sisters. With Jessica now on the singles market, happily mothered and married younger sister Ashlee has hit a career bump: the CW recently announced they would be killing her character off the show.

According to executive producer Todd Slavkin, Simpson was always set to leave after the twelfth episode. "We felt that once the murder mystery was resolved, the tone of the show was going to shift into a much more fun, romantic, sexy upbeat kind of show, and [her] character would move on," he told Entertainment Weekly. Colin Egglesfield, who plays the alcoholic / aspiring chef Auggie, also got canned.

Heather Locklear is heating up the TV screen once again. The blonde bombshell returned to some familiar stomping grounds on Tuesday when she stepped on the set of the new Melrose Place.

The show could use the star wattage ratings-wise and Locklear was the veteran hold out the cast (and fans) have been waiting for.

The rumors are true. Amanda’s coming back!
Heather Locklear, 47, will return to the fledgling CW version of Melrose Place starting on its November 17th episode.
Locklear, 47, will reprise her role as scheming ad boss Amanda Woodward, who was last seen faking her own death in the 1999 finale of the original Melrose Place.

So, naturally, Kristin is trying to win back her ex-Brody and Audrina is trying to get back with Justin for the umpteenth time. The twist? Justin actually was hurt by Kristin dumping him—and gasp—doesn’t want Audrina back! Oh Heather, we love seeing you be bad! Unfortunately for Melrose Place fans, the new version of the series will not include Heather Locklear as tough-as-nails executive (and sex kitten) Amanda Woodward.
"There wasn't a way to bring her back that made sense," says a source close to the situation. The CW - the network producing the show- was not shy about broadcasting their hopes Locklear would revisit the role, and will most likely purse other veterans.
