Stylish AND Fantastic Sound: Lady Gaga "Heartbeats" Headphones

We wouldn’t expect the flamboyant singer to wear just any old headphones. True to form, the Pop star designed her own audio jewels with Dr. Dre’s Diddybeats, to create headphones called “Heartbeats” that look as good as they sound.
Diddybeats: By "Diddy"

Produced with Monster, who brought us the sonic pleasure known as “Beats” headphones by Dr. Dre, the Diddybeats by Sean “Diddy” Combs, are the latest addition to the music family.
Combs, who knows a little about music, has incorporated the most advanced technology to bring an amazing level of audio sophistication to his ear buds. Play one of your favorite tunes on your old ear buds and then switch to the Diddybeats. That’s all it takes. With club-worthy bass, crystal-clear highs and lows, these high performance earbuds will make you a convert.
Dr Dre, who worked in conjunction with Diddy (and Lady Gaga for her production) says: “Artists and producers work hard in the studio perfecting their sound. But people can’t really hear it with normal headphones… With Beats, people are going to hear what the artists hear, and listen to the music the way they should: the way I do.”
As with the designer himself, Sean John the Diddybeats look as good as they sound. With the high-tech aluminum casing and the smart flat cable design (so they don’t tangle) these sport a sophisticated look to match the sound.
The brand –new ones are being made available with Monster’s “ControlTalk” headphone cable, which can be used with iPhone and iPod for music playback control as well as to take hands- free calls .
At $149, these aren’t cheap but they’re worth every cent. Available at all Best Buys and Diddybeats.

Friends Don’t Let Friends Use Default Earbuds; Upgrade to Phiaton PS 200

Most of the ear buds that come with an iPod or MP3 player are poorly made and deliver crappy sound. You need to upgrade – STAT!
One of our favorite new earphones are made by Phiaton, a leader in audio equipment. We tested the PS 200 Earphones and immediately noticed the superior sound quality , especially in the mid-ranges. (For those who want a pounding dance -club bass, this is the not the model for them.)
Sound-isolating (rather than “sound cancelling”) the 200’s let you enjoy your music in peace, while still being aware of your surroundings. The warmth and clarity is impressive, even compared to other expensive earphones.
Style, Meet Sound: Roxy and JBL Headphones
Posted on Jun 10, 2009 @ 06:13PM - Add a comment

Beach designer Roxy partnered with sound pioneer JBL to create a co-branded line of audio gear specifically sized for women. While style is important let’s face it, if they don’t sound good, no one is going to wear them but we’re happy to report that the brightly colored “D.J. style” headphones and colorful ear buds deliver superior audio sound.
The on ear headphones ($69.95) are made of cups that have been purposely designed as smaller than average ear cups, so they’re comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time and the ear buds won’t fall out of your ears.
Unlike the crappy default Apple ear buds, the mic on the In-Earphones ($39.95) is purposely bigger and easy to see , not only as a style choice but also so you’ll hear conversations better. Roxy fans will love the cases, which come in Roxy’s signature styled patterns.
Go Street With Sports Headband

We usually embrace any technology that does away with wires, so you would think we’d go crazy over this music headband for i360 but we really don’t like the street thug look. (their iPod beanie is really cute though.)
i360 uses a patented internal wiring system with dual detachable speakers intergrated into custom headwear (for iPod nano or second gen Shuffle) for this headband and also the beanie and hats, which are due out soon. Handwashable only so the headband isn’t a good candidate for the gym either.
