Gone is the shaggy 'do we've seen on the red carpet of late from heartthrob Zac Efron.
The High School Musical star was spotted in Beverly Hills, Ca. on Thursday, emerging with freshly shorn locks from La Peer salon.
Efron may not be sporting the look for kicks--he's in pre-production for the forthcoming drama The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, where he'll play a young man who communicates with his dead younger brother.

With their twin girls on the way via a surrogate this summer, Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick finally took care of one bit of unfinished business with their son James Wilkie Broderick, 6. They had his hair cut!
James’ prior shoulder-length coif often had the tyke misidentified as a little girl when he was out and about in New York. Now there will be no confusion
If only the same could be said about Kate Hudson’s son Ryder.
