Seattle Mariners outfielder Greg Halman has been stabbed to death in the Netherlands and his brother is the chief suspect, RadarOnline.com is reporting.

Dutch authorities were called to a home in the port city of Rotterdam early Monday and found Halman, 24, bleeding from a stab wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police arrested Halman's 22-year-old brother. His name is not being made public at this time, in compliance with Dutch privacy rules.

"He is under arrest and right now he is being questioned," Rotterdam Police spokeswoman Patricia Wessels told The Associated Press. "It will take some time to figure out what exactly happened."
