Green Bay Packers’ cornerback Sam Shields may need a lesson in chivalry.

On Thursday, the 24-year-old football player unceremoniously threw his fiancée Melissa Lopez out of the home that they once shared, rendering her homeless, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Sources close to the couple told Radar that Shields initially split from Lopez last year and did so in the cruelest of ways.

The ink is not even dry on the whopping five year, $96 million deal that Peyton Manning signed on Tuesday with the Denver Broncos, and already their current quarterback Tim Tebow is weighing up his career options.

"I'm very excited to begin the next chapter of my playing career with the Denver Broncos," Manning said as he picked up his new orange number 18 jersey, reported ESPN.com.

There's a tax warrant out for Dancing with the Stars contestant Donald Driver.

According to our friends at the Detroit News, the Green Bay Packers wide receiver owes the state of New York $8,141. A tax warrant was filed against him January 12, 2011  by the Albany County Clerk.

Erik Walden, a star linebacker with the Green Bay Packers, was arrested Friday morning for allegedly assaulting his live-in girlfriend. She  required medical treatment as a result.

The couple share an apartment in Lawrence, Wisconsin. The girlfriend called the cops to report the alleged attack at 6:10 am, Hobart-Lawrence Police Chief Randy Bani told The Green Bay Press Gazette.

She'd already been to the hospital for treatment of a cut and bump on her head and an injured hand before she notified the police, Bani added. Walden was booked at 8 am.

Because of the holiday, the Brown County Circuit Court is closed until Monday which means Walden will remain in jail on suspicion of felony domestic violence-substantial battery until at least then.

The Packers issued a statement saying the organization is aware of Walden's arrest but declined to comment pending further developments.

NFL star Chris Cook was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning on domestic assault charges, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

The 24-year-old Minnesota Vikings cornerback was taken into custody at 2:10 a.m. at the 6400 block of Regency Lane after someone called 911 to report yelling and screaming from across the street, Eden Prairie police spokesperson Katie Beal told RadarOnline.com.

He is being held on probable cause for the charges of "domestic assault strangulation," Beal said, explaining the charge is a felony, plus 5th degree domestic assault, a misdemeanor. “He is currently still in custody and did not resist arrest.”

Cook was booked into the Hennepin County jail and is due in court on Monday.

According to Beal, he could be held for 36 to 48 hours. The identity of his alleged victim has not been released,
