Jodie Foster’s father has been sentenced to five years in jail following his conviction for stealing more than $100,000 from elderly and low-income people.

Lucius Foster, 89, was sentenced in a Los Angeles courtroom on Friday after being found guilty of 21 counts of grand theft for taking $5,000 down-payments from 25 investors on low-cost homes. 

The homes, that were advertised as selling for $85,999 each, were never built according to the prosecution.

The former New York Mets player and Charlie Sheen buddy was charged with 25 criminal counts on Monday, for allegedly trying to lease cars using phony business and credit information and possession of controlled substances.

Dykstra, 48, his accountant Robert Hymers and friend Christopher Gavanis, where charged with allegations that they tried to lease high-end vehicles from several car dealerships but provided false information and tried to claim credit through a phony business.

Lindsay Lohan is appealing her 120-day sentence for being found in violation of her probation, but even without appeal she could serve just "hours" of her sentence, due to prison overcrowding.

"Ms. Lohan would probably do about 20% of her sentence, which would be about 21 days in custody," Steve Whitmore, spokesperson for the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department told RadarOnline.

As the clock ticks towards the deadline for Lindsay Lohan accepting her offered plea deal, a pal of the troubled actress exclusively tells RadarOnline.com the prosecution is a “complete waste of time” and insists “she is innocent.”

Lindsay has been offered a deal relating to her felony grand theft charge for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice Beach area jewelry store, but Lindsay’s friend says she shouldn’t have to take a deal, as she did NOT commit a crime.

“The whole prosecution is a complete waste of time because she is innocent!”  Lohan’s close friend and producer Nathan Folks exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

Lindsay Lohan will decide as soon as Tuesday, March 22, if she will accept a plea deal in her grand theft case in order to avoid a trial.

But RadarOnline.com has learned, if she does not cop a plea, the controversial jewelry store owners won't get their moment in the spotlight at the actress' preliminary hearing because the Los Angeles District Attorney won't be calling them.

Sources close to Lohan say her heading home is a sure sign she is leaning towards accepting the plea deal she has been offered in relation to her felony charge for the alleged theft of a $2,500 necklace from a Venice Beach area jewelers.

Even though Kamofie & Company, the jewelry store that Lindsay Lohan allegedly stole a $2500 necklace from have sold the surveillance tape for a profit, and is even seeking a book deal, sources connected to the case reveal that their actions don't alter or mitigate the fact a crime may have been committed.

"Danette Meyers has a very strong case against Lindsay, even though the owners are now profiting after the fact the crime occurred,” a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com. “The surveillance video shows Lindsay walking out of the store with the necklace on, period. The clerk didn't notice that Lindsay still had the necklace on when Lindsay left the store. The jewelry store owners’ actions subsequently don't change the facts of what occurred."

If Lindsay Lohan does agree to do an open plea in Judge Keith Schwartz's courtroom on March 25, he will have new evidence in the case that Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Holley, will be providing for him to consider when sentencing, and RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting what that evidence will be.

"Judge Schwartz would like more information about Lindsay, how she is doing in her recovery,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “Judge Schwartz wants a more complete picture of her than what has been provided in the probation report, and police report.

“Lindsay's team isn't required to submit the additional information, but, it's a very good sign for her that he is asking for it. Judge Schwartz isn't interested in any issues relating to the surveillance video. If Lindsay doesn't take the plea deal, those issues can be raised by Lindsay's lawyer at the preliminary hearing and trial."

A past business associate of Lindsay Lohan, Danish promoter Claus Hjelmbak, tells RadarOnline.com exclusively that the 24-year-old actress is "an honest person" and that he believes the jewelry store, from whom Lohan is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace is using the star to gain publicity.

Claus worked with LiLo in 2008 when she was the honored guest at a Scandinavian Style Mansion event, and he says that from his experience, she is a professional and trustworthy person.
